Be True to Yourself

Hello there...I'm going to be quick this morning!  Stopping in to share a card for this month's Artful Delight Sketch. I love their sketches.  They are always very clean and simple.  This one lent itself well to highlight the very feminine patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and the beautiful Verve sentiment.  Hope you have a fabulous Friday eve!

 

Thanks (and a question)

Oh la la...is what I thought when I saw this month's Artful Delight Sketch. I love the clean and simple design.  You all know I'm more of a color challenge girl than a sketch girl (not sure why!), but I was drawn to this one quickly. And...I love how the Artful Delight kits always seem to have so much fabulous color...so my colorful palette is a nod to the kits colors :)

And...two of my favorite bloggers:  Karen and Erin, are on the Artful Delight team...so how could I not play along?

 

A question for all of you:  what stamp cleaner do you use?  I use the Stampin' Up Cleaner and pad.  Despite washing it fairly regularly, I always have to make sure I stamp it a few times so the stamp is really clean.  My blocks are always filthy too. Is it just me or does anyone have any magic tricks? I'd love to hear your feedback!

Happy Friday!  I am really happy that it is Friday...wishing I could fast forward the clock until the end of the work day.

I have a very quick card for the Artful Delight Challenge to use kraft, pink and white.  Playing along with my PTI Iconic Images set again...I've had this one made for a bit and haven't shared it.  Then I remembered that it was perfect for the challenge! 

Hope you have a fabulous Friday...what are you up to this weekend?  We have Marcel's 6th birthday on Sunday!  Looking forward to having our family and friends over to celebrate.  The Darth Vader pinata is ready to go.  We need to pick up pumpkins to paint and then we'll be all set!

Best Buds

For this week's Play Date Cafe challenge and the sketch challenge for the Birthday Bash at Artful Delight, I thought I'd do a very CAS layout of Collin and Marcel.  The journaling reads: These two are never far apart. Sharing a room, toys and friends...they love to be together...always on the go...riding bikes, playing house and just simply having fun together.

I absolutely adore this picture of the two of them and how Marcel is sponateneously giving Collin a very tight squeeze!

 

 

Autumn Wishes and a Layout!

Hello there, this week's Wee Memories Challenge is all about the sentiments.  I decided to make a simple CAS card for the challenge.  I used a bit of woodgrain paper along with a strip of the Basic Grey Oxford Paper...and yes, the misting mades it way out again this week!  Stamped the sentiment several times in brown and once in red to make it pop!

While I'm here, I thought I'd share a layout inspired by the challenge at Artful Delight!  Not the best photo, but I loved scrapping these pictures from last weekend.  Here's the journaling, "Whenever the Pittsburgh Mangans are in town, there is always a game to play.  This weekend it was tackle Monkey in the Middle with the dads: Pat/Mike, Ryan, Connor, Erin and Jonathon."  My niece Laura was behind the camera!  The little ones (Collin, Ally and Marcel) were busy riding bikes most of the weekends.  When I say "All Out" Monkey in the Middle, I mean it...full tackle...no place for soft hearts when we're playing!

PS If you have any tips for photographing scrapbook layouts I'd love to hear them!  I never feel like my layout photos are very good!
