PaperSmooches Sparks: Your Future....

My niece just started her freshman year at Ohio University, so when I got this new stamp set from PaperSmooches:  Spreading Sunshine, I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for...a card for Laura.  I used my ZIG markers to first make the water color background.  I'm not a very patient crafter so my heat gun came out to dry it quickly. The sentiment was then stamped.  Trimmed the paper a bit to center the sentiment before mounting in on a piece of black card stock.  Felt like the card needed something extra so I added a little bit of thread. Thought about sequins or gems...but just couldn't get them to place where they looked right. Does that ever happen to you?!

Okay...so now it's up to you...pop on over to the PaperSmooches blog to play along with our Anything Goes challenge...and check out all the awesome cards by our design team below. There are tons of us playing along this week.

OH that ALways happens to me, Lynn ... love those little buggers, but never know where to put them - a few examples can be found in my blog, believe me. Wow, does that sentiment ever pop with the little black panel added...

Framing the sentiment panel like that really makes it look like a painted canvas, Lynn. I love the sentiment and it's perfect for a graduate or first year college student.

I just LOVE the simplicity. Perfectly balanced as always and that POP of color is gorgeous.

Haha, me too, Lynn ... I spend more time figuring out where to place bling than making the card! Fabulous sentiment over those gorgeous washed colours ... the delicate thread nest is perfect with those soft shades! Hugs, Anita :)

Oooo! Love that sentiment, and your water-colored background is perfection! Yep, I have the same problem with sequins like all the time ;).

You and Audrey make me want to get some of these Zig markers! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the simplicity! You could mass produce these with different sentiments and send Laura a card every month:) LOVE it! You always amaze me, Lynn! Thanks so much for joining in the fun on your week off <3 HUGS!

I think my future is a to do list, but I like the way you're thinking, especially the thread.

Not getting the right spot for sequins or enamel dots... I know that feeling, LOL.
I like the thread and I don't miss anything more. This beautiful card needs no sequins or enamel dots at all
