Butterfly Thanks

Hi there, I have another card to share with my guest design spot over at Frantic Stamper. I'll be sharing a project about once per week!

I'm quite often in need of thank you cards and love to make them in multiples to give for teacher gifts. With the end of the school year approaching, I decided to make several quick thank you notes.  To add color and highlight the gorgeous detail on the butterfly die cut, I used a variety of distress inks on a piece of scrap white paper. I put the scrap paper behind the die cut. The die cut is adhered on the body of the butterfly only with the a touch of glue.  To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment and added a black frame. The touch of black gives the colors a little extra pop!

Here's an extra close up of the color. Would love to hear whether you create card sets too?

Beautiful butterfly. Love the colors. I do make sets to use as gifts--especially hostess gifts.

This is just lovely Lynn, what a pretty butterfly! I make sets too! Every year, in addition to her birthday gift, I make several cards for our DIL to have on hand for her 1st grade students and parents!

Beautiful Lynn, the springtime colours. I sometimes make sets, but I usually put together packages of mixed cards.

Gorgeous card, Lynn!
I don't normally create more than one card of each design I make.... but I found that with my MISTI, I'm starting to do so -- it's just so much easier!

You know, Lynn, I do create sets of cards that are quick to make (especially if they took a long time to think up), but many times they are for ME to use. I just have to make notes on a tiny post-it on who I give them to so I don't give more than one to a family! If I have time it seems such a shame to not get a few more done when all the supplies are out already.

Love how you've introduced the color behind the butterfly on your card. And yes, the thin black outline really adds a lot to frame your card!
