Hello there...I've had a fabulous morning creating. I was working on scheduling posts for the week and realized that if I don't post these two cards today, I'm going to miss the CASology deadline. So...I'm here to show two cards celebrating the current cue at CASology of celebrate. They are having a fabulous 100th challenge celebration. I've loved learning more about the design team members.
I made the second card first and didn't really like it so I made the first card above. This card is going to a friend of Ryan's who just graduated. The black/red colors are the color combination of the University of Cincinnati that he'll be attending in the fall.
I'm also entering these in Darnell's NBUS challenge. If you don't know Darnell, you simply must go stop by her blog. She is her an absolute gem. Her creations are amazing and she's guaranteed to leave you with a smile on her face. NBUS stands for never been used supplies. I"m used stamps from PTI and PaperSmooches that are seeing ink for the first time today. I have a habit of leaving stamp sets on my work table until they have been used at least once. Once they have seen a touch of ink they can make it into their permanent home. How about you? Do you immediately put away your new supplies or leave them out until they are used? I'm pretty good at using my stamps....patterned paper and die cuts...that's a whole different story!
I'm off to call my mum and see if she wants to go out for a pedicure. The boys are out getting new bathing suits with Pat and then heading to play practice for a couple of hours. Jonathon and Marcel will be in Oliver starting on July 8th!
I love them both Lynn!
ReplyDeleteGreat stamping... as always!
Have a great week!
Oh what I'd give to find time to sit down and stamp right now! Your gorgeous CAS cards have me wishing I was at my craft desk, Lynn! Fab as always! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully sweet and CAS cards, Lynn. Subtle, yet bright pops of color. Just wonderful. And boy, do I wish I could come and see your boys in "Oliver!!" It's my favorite musical of all time. I'm sure they're enjoying this journey. Have a great week. Bev
ReplyDeleteWell, I like both of your cards, but I have to agree I think the first one is my favorite! Great card for a boy! I have a "brand new" box that I add my newly acquired stamps and dies to. After I have used them, they can come out of the "brand new" box and into their permanent home :)
ReplyDeleteLynn I love all the stamped stars, what a perfect grad card. A pedi sounds fabulous today as I see my DIY pedi from a week ago is in need of a touch up! Enjoy the day!
ReplyDeleteI just want you to know I pinned your "your rock" card on my pinterest board. That is a great card for boys, especially teenagers.
ReplyDeleteI really like your first congrats card! The way you stamped those images are just plain...sexy (I'm talking about your images, not you, sorry!)!! Happy Sunday, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, Lynn :) Love them both!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards. I have a habit of putting stamps away after I buy them and then they don't get used. Thanks to Darnell a couple of them got inked today. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThese are both fabulous, Lynn. I do try to use my new stamps before putting them away, but must confess to lots of stamps sitting and waiting for ink. Thanks so much for playing along (twice) at CASology this week and for helping us celebrate 100 challenges.
ReplyDeleteThat scallop is so darn awesome, and you just gave me an idea for a card! Both of these are fab, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteLynn, both cards are totally awesome! So great that you were able to use some of your stash for the first time...always a good thing! Thanks for joining us to celebrate at CASology this week!

ReplyDeleteBoth cards are perfect for celebrations! I need to get to Darnell's challenge! Hope you had a nice pedi!
ReplyDeleteThese are both great, Lynn. I love the shadowing and think the stars are always a great idea for a congrats card, especially a "you rock (STAR)" card! And I do the same thing using the school or college colors when making graduation cards. I don't think a lot of the kids really care, but I get a kick out of it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, my goodness, for your compliments! I really appreciate your kind words and your entering my NBUS Challenge and posting my button!!
Have a great week! I know that Jonathon and Marcel will have a blast doing Oliver!! (Video clip?) Hugs, Darnell
Great card! Love the colours and those stars. Hugs, Gerrina
