Have you noticed this is one of my "go to" layouts with a touch of patterned paper down the side? I love added a bit of pattern to finish off a card. This card was going to be for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, but I am late! The challenge was to use a 1/3 of the card. I met the challenge but not the due date. These are my favorite kinds of cards with all kinds of crisp, white space. Do you have a favorite "go to " layout? If you do, I'd love for you to link it up in the comments.

ReplyDeleteToo bad you didn't get it posted in time...it's so cute! I love the idea to use a thin strip of patterned paper on the side...going to case that idea along with the 1/3 of a card idea too! Just look how inspiring you were today!
ReplyDeleteLove these colours and you are rocking this layout :)
ReplyDeleteLynn there is so much yummy white space on this and I LOVE the bright pops of colour. I think I need to try your go to layout. My "go to" tends to be stitched mats or more recently one layer!

ReplyDeleteI love that you have a 'go-to' sketch. It's never boring or the same-old, same-old when you use it. Me?, nope. Just what the old brain says looks right. Might have to see if I can come up with one though. You've given me food for thought. And btw, this is a great card. Crisp, clean, and love those happy colors. Bev

ReplyDeleteYour go to design is great and I love patterned paper. I wish I had something to go to. Maybe it would make cardmaking easier.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the cute flowers, and the layout! I like the look of lots of white space but have a hard time pulling it off. You, on the other hand, are a master at it :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to use patterned paper! Lovely layout too... And one gotta love those pretty flowers! :)
ReplyDeleteNo wonder this is a go to card! Great design and I love the pops of color!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card, and a fabulous go-to layout. I never thought about it, but I guess my go-to is something along these lines, although I usually put my pattern or solid edge on the left. Either that or something in the middle top third with a sentiment below. I think I am going to try to go wild and mix it up a bit next time--put the edge on the right.
