Just a Note to Say...
Oh how I love flowers, so when I see a new floral set, I'm always checking it out. So...click add to cart on the new Reverse Confetti set and it quickly saw ink from me. Florals and sentiment stamps are a definite go to in my stash. Funny thing is though that I rarely have flowers at my house because I don't water them enough to keep them alive!
So...my card today is for two fabulous challenges. ColourQ where I never play often enough despite loving the color combos and One-Layer Simplicity Challenge: Floral Cards. I think I'll be playing along with this one fairly often this month.
Before I go, I wanted to share two pictures of Ryan and me from yesterday. We ran the last two legs of the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati. Ryan ran 7.5 miles and I ran 6.5. The weather was absolutely perfect. I was very pleased with my finish time - averaging 9 minutes 32 seconds per mile. Not bad for a 43 year old!
Here's our pre-race selfie at 5:45 am...
And our post race picture...our team finished in 4 hours 2 minutes.
I hope your week gets off to a fabulous start.
Wow Lynn, you look good after completing the race!
ReplyDeleteI started exercising again, 3 weeks ago (gym) and it feels good. After my neck surgery a year+ ago, I had to be so careful with what I do...
Your card is so beautiful. Wish I had your stamping skills!
Have a great week!
Yay! Awesome work on the race! You are such an inspiration!

ReplyDeleteYay, you rock doing the marathon! So much fun. Now I LOVE your RC one layer floral card. Isn't that set so fresh and current? Thank you for playing the colourQ this week, I hope you do more often!
ReplyDeleteLove the layout and the flowers with the dots! Congrats on your fab run x

ReplyDeleteSuch pretty floral swags on a lovely fresh card :)
ReplyDeleteWell done on the run!
Well done on the run! I could not run a mile if someone was chasing me! (I can walk fast though! lol!) Love this pretty floral card too, so glad you joined us at OLS, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so pretty! You're rocking the Reverse Confetti, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the fab run!! Your floral cards are so pretty, love them always :)
ReplyDeleteI love your beautiful card and how your flowers framed your sentiment! Congrats to your and your son on your amazing run! I am totally in awe that you guys can run so far....amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how good you look after running 6.5 miles. I also can't believe you put lipstick on at 5.45am before going running! If I did that, I'd have a lipstick smear mixed with my sweat on my already red face about five seconds into the race, lol! You put me to shame in the fitness stakes, I'm only a year older than you. ;-) Love your card, too, Lynn! :-)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! You go, girl! I so need to get back on my feet after baby. I'm just soooooo tired. And I love the way you've framed that sentiment here! FUN!
ReplyDeleteFabulous race photos and great times, too. I have been working out a lot, but think I could only barely run a mile. Your card is lovely, and I am chuckling because I am the same way with flower stamps and real flowers. I have plants and flowers all over my house, and they are all fake. And, I seem to want to own every flower stamp set on the market.
ReplyDeleteWhoo! Hoo! to you and your son! A Wonderful accomplishment! Pretty stamping on your card, too, Lynn!
ReplyDeletehey, look at you! Great job! AND, love your gorgeous card!
