Hello Friends! Welcome to the first Festive Friday Challenge of the new year! When Meredith asked me if I wanted to be part of the design team, I was an immediate yes. Festive Friday definitely helped me get a jump start on my Christmas cards last year. I'm looking forward to playing along this year and hope that I can provide inspiration to you to work on your cards early this year. No doubt, the rest of the design team will continue to knock your socks off with their creativity.
When I looked at the inspiration photo above, I was immediately drawn to the contrast of the bold red against the white. I made a super CAS card below.
And I was also inspired to make a more rustic version of the card too. Unfortunately the card is a bit out of focus.
Have a favorite of the two cards? I'd love to see you come play along with us! Be sure to pop on over to the Festive Friday Challenge Blog!

I have to go with the first one..the more CAS one, it is the white ribbon on the white card I love x
ReplyDeleteLove these Lynn, especially the second! What snowflake dies did you use? They are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous, Lynn! I love the second with the bit of weathered wood. I am taking a stand this year to get my cards done early, so I am really looking forward to playing along with the Festive Friday challenges - can't wait to see your inspiration each week!

ReplyDeleteThese are both really wonderful cards--great colors and designs. Since you asked--I'd say I like the second just a teeny bit more--I love the rustic wood and the way you have used a more neutral ink for your sentiment and have it curving perfectly around your red circle.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your take on Festive Friday Challenge! Love the white and red contrast of your cards! Both are so pretty with lovely details!
ReplyDeleteClean, Fresh, Beautiful!
