For many years, simple monogram note cards have been my go to teacher gifts. I switch out the papers and the initial and I'm ready to roll. My sister-in-law and a couple of my friends have also bought them from me for gifts as well. I mentioned last week that I was working on a card order. The person requesting the cards found me through one of the teacher gifts! Her friend had sent her a monogram card and she emailed asking her if I could make her some. She asked for five different sets of eight in cheery colors. Below are samples of the cards I sent to her last week. Have a favorite? I think mine is the last one with the green base!
Edited to Add: The sets used for these cards are: PaperTrey Ink Simply Stationery and WPlus9 Monogrammed Set. A few of you also asked what I typically charge for this type of set. I make 8 cards, put them in a nice clear card box from PTI here with a ribbon tied around them. Because it is easier to mass produce this type of card, I charge $15 for the set. I charge more for single cards that have more steps. Another note, I don't do this for profit :)! If it was for profit, I would likely charge more!
I love these, such a nice gift! What stamp set to you use for the initial?
ReplyDeleteI do believe I was a given a set of these a few years ago! I have to go with the pretty in pink one as my fav xx
ReplyDeleteThese make such awesome gifts! I think my fave is the green one too, my favorite color. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm partial to the one with the May Arts ribbon :) Great job.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute. I've had similar requests from others about making sets of cards for them. I'm just curious, did you charge a fee for the sets you made for the friend of the teacher? And if so, would you mind sharing what you charged? I'm always so torn when people ask me to make sets for them and want to pay me for them about what a reasonable price might be. Thanks for whatever info you can share.
ReplyDeleteUmm, all of them? What a fantastic teacher or anybody gift. I think I have to go with the green one too followed closely by the pink.
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards. Lynn! I love that pink one but the last one really is wonderful with that pretty, floral paper! ♥
ReplyDeleteFor me all ur creations are a favorite, I am sure ur monogrammed cards were loved. I have never made one, but now I am inspired :)
ReplyDeleteagain, hard to pick a favourite...but maybe the first pink one, but maybe the kraft, and that green one! See, I can't pick! Hope all is going well...will email soon :) ox

ReplyDeleteThese are just perfect...love how you can make a difference just by changing up the colours and patterns. My fave is the earth tones, love the lacy pattern too :0)
ReplyDeletebeautiful and such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful set, and how nice to have a customer come and seek you out. Thanks for the info on pricing, too. I have often wondered what people sell cards for. Me, I can't give them away quick enough, but perhaps I should try to sell? If you had to account for your time, I'd bet the price would be closer to $100 per card!
ReplyDeleteYou are cranking out some awesome monogram cards! I love the design and elements that you added into each one! Thanks for sharing, Lynn :)
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful cards, Lynn, and so perfect for gifts. Thanks for the info on the boxes, too. I'll keep that in mind when/if I make sets for someone.
ReplyDeleteLOVE them ALL but the first one with the diamonds is MY FAV! Great idea for note cards, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteThe blue one is my favorite, but all are beautiful! What a great idea for gifts!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a timeless gift, Lynn! I think I'm going to have to agree with you on the last one with the green base, but I love the variety you've packed into this little set to bits!
ReplyDeleteThese turned out fabulous! She is going to be thrilled. I do love the last one, but I think my favorite is the third set. I adore the colors and the grey pleated ribbon is to die for.
ReplyDeleteWhile they are all lovely I think I'm with you on the last card. Love that flower paper!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great layout and you've used beautiful color combos. Hard to choose a favorite!
