Hello there! We are home from Nashville after an absolutely amazing weekend! Ryan's show choir won the competition! To say that he and the rest of the group are beaming with pride would be a huge understatement! They competed on Friday afternoon and were the last group to perform for the day. They found out at the preliminary awards that they had made it to the finals and were in first after the preliminary competitions. We came to the competition with the goal of making it to finals, so being in first at the end of the preliminaries was amazing. On Saturday, they performed last again since they were in first place. Their two performances were the best they've had all year! They were rewarded by being named National Champions with best vocals, best choreography, best male soloist and best female performer out of all the groups. Truly a memory we will cherish! There were tears of joy being shed by lots of the kids and of course, the parents too!
Performing on the Grand Ole Opry stage was something the kids will never forget!

{check out the hair gel...special for the finals performance!}

Of course, I had to make Ryan a congratulatory card too. He gets home later this evening. I did a very quick one layer card using the sketch from the new Fusion Challenge! I love the idea for this challenge...so very cool!
