Pattern Play: Day 2

Hello there, I'm back with day 2 of the pattern play class.  I loved the videos again today...have to tell you too that I think Laura Bassen is a crack up.  I felt like I was sitting next to her chatting as she did her video.  I love her style.

So...what did we learn today.  My first card features embossing on patterned paper.  You might have to click the photo to enlarge it to see the pattern, but there is a very subtle neutral stripe on the background paper.  I stamped the floral images and then embossed them with clear embossing powder.  I used the Tattered Rose and Barn Door distress inks to ink up the entire panel.  Added the sentiment, bow and rhinestones.  The layout for this card was inspired by Suzanne's amazing card here.
For my second card, I went with a simpler card, stamping directly on the patterned paper without any embossing.  The ledger paper is a Basic Grey paper from a really long time ago!

I hope you like both cards!  And again...don't forget to come back tonight for the CAS-ual Fridays Release post!
