Pattern Play Class - Day 1

Hi there, I'm popping in to share a couple of very quick cards from the first day of class!  I'm so glad I signed up as I learn a ton when I take these classes!  On day one, Kristina talked about how to choose patterned papers:  a large/medium pattern (the alphabet paper), a small paper (the brown dots) and a soft paper (the rust tone on tone pattern).  I love the simple result.  I made eight of these quickly as a teacher thank you set!  I apologize this is not the best picture.

And...here's another very similar card.  I could easily mass produce these for Christmas and be very happy.  Jennifer talked about making sure we line up the patterns appropriately.

I'm looking forward to day two tomorrow!

PS Come back in a few hours for my CAS-ual Fridays Release Post!

  18. I just love mixing patterns and colors, and you've done so beautifully with these gorgeous creations! Plus, those bits of hemp twine are the perfect touch of texture! Speaking of, where do you get yours? The store that sells the stuff I like, from Creative Impressions, just closed down. They retired and are so happy, but I miss them already.
