Good morning! I'm popping in with a cheery card for you this morning! I love all the bright colors on this card and that yummy May Arts ribbon. Can you tell I'm loving that and the Lil Inker Rectangle Dies? oh yes...definitely loving them both.
Before I sign off for the day, I thought I'd share a few pictures from Ryan's first show choir competition of the year. Unfortunately, you're not allowed to take pictures or video during the show so I don't have any actual formal snap shots but I have a couple candid shots.
First up is me with my long time friend, Laura. She was my little sister in my sorority (over 20 years ago) and lives about 10 minutes from where the competition was so she came by at night to see the performance and catch up for a bit! Nothing better than a great friend that you can pick up with right where you left off!
And a few pictures of Ryan and his friends! The group performed at 1:20 in the afternoon. At 7 pm they announced which of the groups made it to the finals. They placed 3rd out of 18 groups in the morning so they were the top 6 for the evening performance! We were thrilled. They performed again at 11:30 pm last night - craziness! And then we waited for the announcement at 1 am to see how they did in the evening! Ryan and Nick...coming back to the auditorium after they performed.
Here they are patiently waiting for the finals award ceremony (and given that it was 1 am, the moms may or may not have been quite as patient!) They are all in their second outfit for their performance here.
They took third for the night show too and we were oh so proud. And GUESS WHAT?! If you are still reading, the only reason we are up at 8:30 after getting home at 3 am last night is that this same group of amazing kids is going to try out for America's Got Talent in Columbus today. Our show choir director got a call two weeks ago from their producer that they are interested in our group trying out. They have 90 seconds to show them their incredible song! So...Ryan's up getting ready and I'm so proud of them and wishing them a fabulous time at their try out! And then...I'll be taking a nap!
