Thankful on Thursday


I thought it would be fun to do a Thankful on Thursday post.  I'm not sure if I'll make this a routine or not, but here goes.  This Thursday, I'm thankful for the following:
  • Friends, family and co-workers that ask for prayers when prayers are simply the best support that can be provided.
  • Thankful for Uncles who are the tickle monsters.  We have one on each side of the family...my brother, Neal, and Pat's brother, Mike.  The boys are constantly crawling on their laps asking not to be tickled.
  • And for mums...who always spoil us and teach us about strengths that we never knew we had.
I could go on forever...what about you?  Are you having a Thankful Thursday?

And...this card is for my mum. The tag says mom...sorry about that Mum...but I didn't have a really small mum stamp so I rolled with it!  I love the PTI with the gorgeous roses...it is so easy to layer the stamps without having to line them up perfectly.  And the ribbon...a thank you goes to Karen Baker for sending me lots of this gorgeous May Arts ribbon in a variety of colors. I love it Karen...it's been getting lots of use and I'm thinking I'll need to do a bit of shopping over at May Arts!

    Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! And today I'm thankful for my gorgeous girls and husband, with whom I spent a quality afternoon at the movies today. :-)

    I'm sure Karen has more (hint hint)... and funny you should have a the mum/mom issue, when I lived in New Zealand I couldn't find a card that said Mom on it save my lift... Lovely roses. I should pull out my tiny tags...

    Beautiful card..you just can't go wrong with this set. Love the thankful Thursday. I'm thankful for a warm house on a 23 degree morning...brrr.

    I am thankful for my Christmas vacation and having a safe trip home yesterday. AND for my talented friends who serve me eye candy each morning :) LOVE the yellow roses and that yummy ribbon :) I here ya on the spelling of stamps. I posted a thread in the PTI forum a few weeks ago asking stampers who use British spelling if they don't buy certain stamps because of the spelling...mum and mom came up and there were some suggestions that stamp companies could maybe add an extra stamp with the British spelling. I sayYES! Hugs to Mum :)

    So pretty! Gosh, I love that ribbon, too! I need to get some more of my own ;). And while I'm already ready for this day to be over, I'm thankful for new bedding, coming in the mail to replace the current, deeply worn-out stuff. At least it's something to look forward to ;). Hugs!

    Have to laugh about mum and mom. When I was at university in the US I was teased about my "accent" and how I pronounced some words. Of course, "mum" is a dead give away for being Canadian. By the time I graduated, nobody knew I was Canadian as I had all the words down. Got even when I asked them what a touque was - rolled with laughter at some of their guesses :)

    Ahhh so you have the same dilemma I have when it comes to stamps for 'mum'! Didn't realise before that you have a 'mum' and not a 'mom'!

    I think Thankful on Thursdays is a Brilliant idea! It should be a blog! GORGEOUS card for your very special Mom! LOVE your perfect bow and yellow roses and the tiny tag with the heart!!!
