Let's chat about washi tape. I am afraid of it. Not sure why...but it just doesn't flow for me when I am creating. So...today's card is a big deal...using three types of washi tape and one stamp :) Just kidding! This card will go in my stash for a future anniversary of a co-worker. I always try to have a couple extra of these on hand. I'm playing along with the Less Is More Challenge which is black and white with a pop of color.
Now...switching subjects...as I type this I'm listening to the sounds in my house. My oldest is upstairs playing the guitar, my hubby is reading/watching the football game in the room on the other side of the wall and I can hear Collin/Marcel/Jonathon in the basement decided who is it for their game. Have to say I love the sounds of everyday life. How about you? What great everyday sounds surround you?
I was a little afraid of washi tape too but now I LOVE it! Your card is has a great modern vibe to it Lynn!
ReplyDeleteI often wake up earlier than everyone else and get my coffee and go through my Google Reader. The sound I hear every morning is my tiny little Yorkie snoring away. :)
Great CAS card! You nailed the washi tape look here, love it!
ReplyDeletewell, you wouldn't know by your fabulous card that you're afraid of washi...it's truly perfect!
ReplyDeletemy house is quiet now...too early:)
Great card using washi tape. One would never have known you were afraid of it if you hadn't mentioned it. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the soothing sound of our pellet stove.
Love how you used the washi tape! You have nothing to be afraid of!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you mean you're afraid of Washi Tape? Lynn this card is fabulous, just like it's sentiment, Job Well Done!! :) Love what you did.
ReplyDeleteMy house is pretty quite too...my boys are 18 and 23 so they keep to themselves alot (sigh). Love Washi tape too!

No signs of washi fear here! Love how you used it and those polka dots are making me swoon LOL! Well done all round!
ReplyDeleteThis is simply terrific Lynn.
ReplyDeleteI can just imagine your house with the sounds of everyday life around you...wonderful! I'm listening to the sound of silence at the moment...apart from the constant tinnitus which accompanies me!
Thanks so much for joining us and we hope to see you again next time.

frightened you might be but this looks great x
ReplyDeleteYou used your washi tape like a pro Lynn! Those patterns are gorgeous and you seriously used it perfectly. Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteI love the sounds of everyday life. Right now I can hear the bread machine paddle clicking, the sound of Sam's collar as he keeps running to the front door to see a dog walking by the house and the low sound of music from Ben's room as he is doing homework.
Since Holidays are over and school life has started again, everything is very quiet in the house...
ReplyDeleteLove your card, Job well done (-;!
You should play with Washi more, Lynn! LOVE what you did with this one! The sound of my house is...quiet. Just the oven humming (baked chicken)--happy noise to me!
ReplyDeletePerfectly fabulous! LOVE that font!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite everyday sounds are Adina singing to herself and Ezekiel's teacher's voice giving instructions or encouraging or teaching him about something brand new. Sigh. Thanks ;)!
I hear a lot of things in my house. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. I know it is really bad when I don't hear anything, though, from the boys, then I start to worry. Congrats on the washi tape usage and a really fun design.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the washi tape...I really need to use it more because I do love the idea of it :) LOVE the patterns on yours :) My sounds right now? Big Bang Theory rerun! LOL Earlier today were joyful sounds of my kids, at dinner, endearing sound of my husband :) Love all the sounds of my life :)
ReplyDeletelike the design, looks fab
ReplyDeleteI love listening to Pandora mix of pop tunes while making cards... last night the sound of 6 cub scouts made my ears ring... I think i prefer the quieter variety. Great card...must pull out the washi.
ReplyDeleteSomeone who shares my fear of washi tape! So glad it's not just me. Like the embellishments, it just keeps showing up in craft room, but it doesn't see enough use. I love how you mixed and matched and added a simple sentiment. I think I could manage that! :)
ReplyDeleteDo not fear the washi tape for you have rocked it! I especially love that film strip one! :)
ReplyDeleteRight now I can hear the tree frogs chirping outside, the wind rustling in the trees, Luis' Portuguese telenovella on TV and Atticus snoring on our bed! :D
Loving all the questions this week!
LOVE this...perfect.
ReplyDeleteWow, love your use of the washi tape ... not tried it yet (probably the only one in the world!) but it's on my wishlist! Anita in France :)
ReplyDeletestunning CAS card!
