Hello there...I'm going to keep this short and sweet today. I met my mum for dinner and Christmas shopping after work on Tuesday...and I'm tired, but I do have a couple of cards to share with you. My mum asked me to make an anniversary card for my aunt and uncle. So...I played along with A Passion for PaperTrey. It has been way too long since I played along with the fabulous team over there and I loved the inspiration photo shown below.
But before I made that card, I made this card using the current CASE This Sketch. I wasn't thrilled with the card or the colors I choose...so I made the card above and that is the one that was sent to them! You can let me know which one you like better.
Both cards are lovely Lynn - I like your take on the sketch challenge with the second card. My favourite is the one you sent :)
ReplyDeleteBoth card are fab but, although unusual colours, I really like number 2 and such a cool take on the sketch x
ReplyDeleteI love them both Lynn but love the one you sent....great take on the inspiration and the sketch:)
ReplyDeleteYep, I love them both too, Lynn! The bottom one might lean toward a younger couple maybe. The one you sent is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBoth great cards - love the elegance of the bold red swirl, and the fun of the twisty strings with the hearts! Thanks so much for playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch this week, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteLove both of your cards Lynn. You sure have a way with one layer cards.
ReplyDeleteOh you did good -- love the first one with the colors and the swirl -- very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteLynn whatever card you make it is always gorgeous! I do like the first one the best. ;)
ReplyDeleteJust as perfect as ever ;). Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteI love your take on both challenges, Lynn! Those hanging hearts are so sweet and the way you used the colors on your first card is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the first card!!!
ReplyDeleteoh, I can't choose...love them for different reasons! The first one is elegant with that gorgeous flourish and the second is cute and fun with that fabulous new Verve set! You were kind to at least not post until I got mine! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove them both! THe flourish on the first is gorgeous with the touch of script in the BG and love the falling hearts on the second and fun colour combo.
ReplyDeleteLove them both, Lynn!
ReplyDeleteIthink they are both Super!!
ReplyDeleteBoth awesome, but I do like the red one better, too. My parents anniversary is tomorrow and I was just thinking I'd like something in holiday type colors, though not a holiday theme, KWIM? :) Hope you are having a great week, Lynn! xo
ReplyDeleteGreat cards!! Love the blue hearts!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layering on your first card, and your second is cute and fun.
ReplyDeleteLynn, these are INCREDIBLE cards! Really fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI just love both cards, but that first one is stunning!
ReplyDeleteSo...how do you like this rainy, stormy weather we are having? Only in SW Ohio! :)
Oh, am I allowed to like both?! Love the passion and elegance of the first card and adore the fun and whimsical nature of the second! At least you now have a fabulous card in your stash I guess ;D
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us on A Passion for Papertrey and Happy Holidays! :)
Hugs!
x
I love card number one !!
ReplyDeleteWhat background stamp did you use ?
