Thinking of You (and Pinterest)

Hello there, popping in to share a card for this week's Retro Sketch.  I stamped the flowers and then cut them into the same size squares before placing them on the orange panel.  Loving this sketch!

While I'm here, I thought I'd share a few recipes that have been successful on Pinterest.  This should also be qualified by saying that I rarely cook.  All four boys independently mentioned to Pat that I cooked a lot while he was gone on his golf trip.  So here goes:
  • Pumpkin Muffins - two ingredients...that's it...and they have been made twice (by request from all the boys) - and only one Weight Watchers point.
  • Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken - A definite hit with the older two boys...not so much with the younger ones who are a bit pickier.  So, so easy though...yummy to the older crew and very easy to reheat.
  • Pizza Quesadillas - a few more ingredients (hard to stay at two)...and these were a big hit with all four boys.
  • Smore Bites - super, super easy and a lot less hassle than getting the fire going outside!
  • Cider Cake - delicious...especially if you like pumpkin and/or spice cake.
And that is it...my family is still in shock that I've been cooking...and I'm motivated to keep trying new recipes!

Wow, Lynn, you sure are a good "cooker!" :) I love that they all told your hubby the same thing at different times :) This card turned out really cool! I love how you put the squares on the other side, and the orange really makes them pop.

Your card is so beautiful, Lynn! Thanks so much for sharing the recipes. I LOVE to cook and am always looking for new ideas. That chicken sounds delicious, and crock meals are my favorite as it starts to get colder and schedules are more hectic. :)

seems to me you made a mighty fine chili dip and yummy coffee cake while I was there :) Love those Fall colours even though I'm a spring gal :) Love the bit of twine and the sweet bow :)

Wonderful mix of images and colours on your panel. Touch of twine is perfect! Way to go with the cooking!! I'm totally in your camp! Hubby loves to cook and is fabulous at it - me...I can do breakfast and lunch but a main course and I'm in trouble unless it is a stir fry LOL!

Great card! I'll have to check out these recipes. I don't cook. My husband does all of the cooking, but sometimes I'd like to surprise him with dinner. It has to be easy though ;)
