Okay...craziness...I don't normally post three times in one day, but just realized the challenge is about to expire...so I apologize up front for the number of posts!
On Thursday night, my new Verve goodies arrived, so I immediately had to get inky. Oh how I've missed getting some new Verve...so now I have a whole pile of goodness to play with...you'll be seeing a lot of it! I decided to start by playing along with current Runway Inspired Challenge. I was inspired by the leaves and touches of color on the model's blouse and the pop of orange on her purse. So for the card above I added blue gems to the strongly contrasted black leaves and a touch of orange on the sentiment label. I love how these layer so perfectly!
My second card (which was actually the first for the challenge) takes the colors and makes them center stage. I wasn't too happy with the result...so I made the first one above! :) Does that ever happen to you? What you visualize in your head doesn't translate as well to paper? :)

oooh! these are gorgeous Lynn! Love the black leaves.
really pretty, lynn!!
Hi Lynn, thank you for your lovely words on my blog. These set of cards are devine. I love the black leaves on the fresh white. The runway challenge looks like fun...might make me want to spend my stash ($$$) on clothes! Actually, no, that would never happen! Hahaha.
Four boys - wow! So blessed and so amazing! Looking forward to checking out all your other creations.

Both cards are beautifully stamped (as always!)! I have the same things happening to me while creating. Sometimes the first one is just a starting point and the 2nd one came out better after the 1st try! In this case, I do like your 2nd card's (the top one)interpretation for the RIC challenge better. Missing visiting your blog,Lynn! Glad to be back here admiring your work again!
Ha! Hardly anything I visualise in my head turns out like it should! ;D
I love the masking on your second card with those pops of orange! The first card is much calmer and is super pretty with those touches of bling! I like both for different reasons I guess!
Hugs!

Are you kidding?! That happens to me WAY TO OFTEN! I love both cards, Lynn! And three posts? I'd better keep scrolling down . . .
Have a good weekend! :)
Great cards, Lynn! Gotta love new stampy goodies!
always happens to me it seems!
And before I read the post I immediately liked the first card best!! The crispness of the black against the sharp orange line is stunning x
Both fabulous but I LOVE the first one. That pop of orange against the black leaves is just gorgeous. Ann Y.
oh, yummy new Verve! And no dust collecting on these :) Love the pops of orange :)
I just got back from hoppping the line to p/u my new Verve and can't wait to ink some up!! Wonderful CAS cards.
I think I prefer the orange one. Buth love them both!!!!
Beautiful, inspired cards! Hope you have a wonderful weekend, Lynn. :)
Gorgeous cards Lynn, both of them. I won't pick.
Love these cards Lynn! Both are so striking. I've been too busy for blog hopping lately and I've missed so many of your great posts. Hope all is well with you and your family.
I really like both of them Lynn, but I especially love the first! That is so cool the black leaves splay out like that and the blue rhinestones are the perfect touch. Love the huge blue flowers in the second!
beautiful! love the two different takes.
This is a toss up for me, I like the flow and movement of the first, but the second one...those flowers really grab my attention. I think it is a win win either way! I hope you enjoy your weekend Lynn!
Wow these two runway inspired cards are fabulous!
Love them both Lynn, but the first is my favorite! :)
Both are fantastic, but I especially love the spray of leaves on the first card. I wouldn't have thought to stamp leaves in black, but they look amazing in silhouette!
Both cards are lovely, but I agree that the first one makes more of an impact! I like how all of the elements are hanging out at the bottom of the card, with lots of white space above. Thanks for joining us on the Runway!
...sigh...super gorgeous.
I just purchased some Verve and I'm impatiently waiting for them to arrive...my first sets:)
It happens all the time! It's pretty rare that the picture in my head bears any resemblance to what ends up on my cards...
Love the pop of orange on the first card and those gorgeous bold, blue flowers on the second. :)
