Just a Note - Jay Gee's Nook Challenge

Today...we're leaving on a jet plane...don't know when we'll be back again!  Just kidding...my mum and I leave for England this afternoon. It will be a quick trip for me...just one week before I'm back home, but my mum will stay for a couple of weeks.  It has been way to long since I've seen nana and I can't wait. But wow will I miss Pat and the boys!  A week is definitely the longest I've ever been away from them.  So, I'm leaving lots of little notes for them and a few little treats. I've pre-posted several blog posts, but unless I can easily find wi-fi access won't be blog surfing much.  So I'll see you all soon!

And before I go, two quick cards.  First is a PaperSmooches inspired card for the current Jay Gee's Nook Challenge.  I love the color inspiration and the stamps played to this perfectly!

And second...a quick card for a co-worker.  Perfect colors for a masculine card inspired by this week's ColourQ Challenge.

PS Do you like how Marcel snuck into this picture?  Can you tell he's saying "cheese"? :0

Have a wonderful trip Lynn - I am sure your Nana is very excited about you both visiting.

Both your cards are wonderful, but I particularly like the first. The soft colour palette is so pretty - love that ribbon too. Thanks so much for joining us at Jay Gee's :)

Marcel's face is hilarious! I was wondering what he was saying - makes perfect sense that it's cheese! I hope you have a wonderful time in jolly old England with mom and nana. Sounds like a great time!

Love the patterned paper effect on your first card and the yummy ribbon - you always have the best ribbon! And the second cad is awesome - you rock those one layer masculine cards. :)

oh, that ribbon looks fabulous!! LOL That's too funny that we are totally synched this week!! LOVE the stamping! It's looks like patterned paper (one that I would like to buy too! LOL). Love that Marcel's "cheese" looks a couple seconds too late and that it looks like you are holding that red wine in the picture :) Have an amazing time!

Loving the guy card too - another one for my inspiration file!
Now I really hope you packed some wellies (I think you guys call them galoshes?!), an umbrella and some warm layers; it's bloomin' freezing, wet cold and windy. Do you think you could bring some nice weather with you too?! ;D
