Project Life

Hi there.  A few of you have asked about Project Life and how I use it.  I keep it simple and I mean really simple!  Most of the time, I use the journaling cards, pop in my pictures and I'm finished.  When I have occasions where I have lots of pictures, I'll add a very CAS 12x12 layout.  Normally on kraft paper with an embellishment or two.

Here are some samples:

A Halloween page.  The top are the photos, middle is the journaling and the bottom are some Silhouette embellishments from my local scrapbooking store.

Now...some summer photos.  On the left hand side is the boys with some of their friends having a lemonade sale.  On the right is a CAS 12x12 layout from our visit to my aunt and uncle's home on our way to the beach.
Next are layouts from this summer during Moe's visit and Stamp-a-Faire.
This layout on the left makes me laugh.  Sara and Christine will have a good laugh about the pictures from the hotel lobby when we mooched a few beers off some guys who were there for a bachelor party.
I just have a few more photos to add and I'll be done with my 2011 Project Life.  If you're considering it, I'd highly recommend it. It has been much easier to keep up our family album using Project Life.

PS I apologize for the poor photos...I definitely am not a pro photographer!

You've seriously made me reconsider how I scrapbook, as I am now close to four or five years behind. What a great book!

You're getting me all teared up!! I just love all these pages, but you know the ones from the summer make me smile so much!! I wonder if they'll do another stamp a faire :) Love how you used the postcards we got as little mats :)

love the cas pages. I have been thinking about scraping. but the space seems so daunting. Maybe I should look into the project life too.

Lynn these are wonderful pages. What a great idea to keep it simple. Some year I'll make time for something like this.

That last layout just made me laugh out loud. That guy in the photo with me was crazy. I only wish we had video of some of the conversation between those guys and Lizzie's hubby, Sean. Good times.

Thanks for the info, Lynn! I was about to send you an e-mail with some questions after your comment on my blog the other day, but this answers them all.
What an amazing keepsake!! it must be great to be able to go through them and bring back those memories with the kids :)

This is amazing, Lynn, and you are really pushing me to make one of these myself. I can't find those journaling cards anywhere and I love them so much! Do you have suggestions? Of course I had the best time looking at the photos!

The layout of Moe's visit has me smiling from ear to ear - what a lovely time you both had!

I love this album Lynn, I haven't scrapped for ages but should really keep a record of all the family moments rather than keep them on the computer :)

One of these days I am going to do a project life album. I am still working on finishing my december daily, so project life may be too big of a scrapping commitment for me. Your pages look great, Lynn! :)

Project Life looks like fun! Too bad I'm single and don't have much of a Life to put down in an album lol!!! Great job and it will be such a treasure to keep for the future :)

I admire that you take the time to do this! Like you said, it does not have to be complex! I started out scrap booking and don't manage to get around to it as much as I like to! Need to get a better handle on that. Love your layouts and your use of journaling and a few embellish!

Thanks for sharing! I like your pages a lot and how you can embellish them as much as you want. I think I'm going to start slow and just buy the page inserts from Archiver's. I've got sooo much scrapbooking stuff that I need to put to good use.
