Hi there! W'ere half way through the week and I hope it is going well. I'm taking the Clean & Simple Card Making Class with such talented instructors so I thought I pop in and show you my cards for the first day of class. This first day was sketch inspiration. Three sketches were provided and I decided to make cards for two of them. Ultra CAS with Verve stamps for the flowers and Hero Arts for the sentiment. The color inspiration came from the ColourQ Challenge this week.
The second one you can see I rearranged a bit. I masked off the edges and used spray mist to create the sky. It bled a touch on the left, but I'm still pleased with the result.
What do you think? This is only the second time I've taken an on-line crafting class. I'm really enjoying it! And...I'll be back tomorrow with cards for days 2 and 3.
PS Please excuse the photography...I'm fighting with my camera :)

Love your cards - such a beautiful job with the masking and your trees on the second one!
Two different clean and simple styles, both so lovely! Your misting is fabulous, what a great way to make a realistic sky.
Great cards I didn't sign up for the class but now I think I just might.
Did you really mist that background on the 2nd card? Looks great! I was nervous to try that technique, but yours looks so even! Great card! The first one is also a cool take on that sketch. Your cards always make me want to try a very similar card!!
Love your cards Lynn! :> Great CAS!!
Lovely takes on the sketches Lynn! Saw you over at Moxie Fab and have been popping in now and then...:) Enjoy your classes!
How fun that you are taking this class! Love the pretty petals on your first card! And the trees have that mysterious and cool look to it being stamped in black against the blue!
Love the silhouetted trees and sweet red bird and those funky flowers are so cheerful!
I love the simplicity of the first card and its fun colors. I love how you misted the background of the second one (a must try!).
These are both so pretty, Lynn. I especially love the sweet little bird in the trees on the second one. The spray mist sky looks great! So glad you joined us again at the ColourQ, friend!
eek!!! you joined this class!! I was thinking about it, but I just have no time! (yes, I know I'm saying this to a fulltime worker with 4 boys!)...you are amazing!! It takes me an hour to make one card if I already have a plan!! LOL Maybe in the summer...they seem to offer them quite regularly now...let me know what you think of it :)
