For my Just Us Girls post, click here! I'm popping in at the last minute with a very quick gift card holder for this week's ColourQ challenge. (although I just noticed I used cream instead of white...woops!) This was very easy! Karen has been showing how to use these little Canvas Basics bags on cards here and here for gift card holders. I kept mine ultra simple adhering a tag to the front of the bag and popping in a Starbucks gift card for a co-worker! I'll have one more card for my wonderful hubby tomorrow and then this is truly the last of the Christmas creations for this year!
Collin has also been very busy in my craft room with me too. Below is a card that Nana will be receiving for Christmas. You can see he knows how to use the Sizzix and has discovered gems. He had to take the picture to post on the blog :) Here's our conversation from the other night too.
Collin: "Mommy, when I get my own house, I'm going to have a craft room."
Me: "Oh...that will be so fun to have your own craft room."
Collin: "I know, you can come over when I invite you. Would you like to come to my craft room?"
Me: "I'd LOVE it!"
Collin: "And, I can still come to your craft room any time I want, Right?"
Me: "Of course!"
Gave me a good giggle, I can come with an invitation but he can come back anytime! Can't wait to see what his craft room is like when he's an adult!
And...we made cookies last night. Yes completely untraditional colors, but it was the left over icing from a cookie cake Ryan made for a friend. Collin was very proud of how the icing and sprinkles looked on this one!
Merry Christmas Eve! I hope you are having a wonderful day with your family. Off for a run and then time to start getting everyone ready for church and Nana's house!

I'm seriously going to go make two of those gift card holders as soon as I'm done making my rounds in Reader! What an absolutely fantastic idea! Love the design of it as well! And your conversation with your son cracks me up. Their thinking is so logical and serious in a way. Collin's card and cookie look grand! The colors and layers of his card are so thought out, you've got one great designer on your hands! Here's to wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
Love your gorgeous gift card holder, Lynn! And Collin has a really good sense of style! I bet his Grandma will treasure that card :) My Ev loves to play with my punches and stickers, but he's only 4, we'll see if he continues crafting as he gets older :) Have a very Merry Christmas, I have really enjoyed getting to know you better this year! :)
tell Collin his UK cousin would like her own raft room too when she grows up!
love today's creations and the ones you have done all year xx
now that is one yummy cookie! And one blinged out card...just my style! I had to giggle at the "when I invite you ." I could see how that would crack you up :) Have a wonderful evening! We go to mass tonight as well and then an appie dinner at my sister's. Enjoy! And give your mom a special hug from me :)
