Happy Saturday everyone! I got an early start on creating cards last night, but am a bit late posting due to starting my morning with a 5K run with my two great friends: Katie and Katie! Here we are this morning before the Seth Mitchell Memorial Run. It was a bit cold out this morning...but we finished in about 31 minutes. Our giggle for the morning was that my registration had me signed up as a walker instead of a runner. And...I came in first place in the 40 to 49 age group (as a walker...but I was really a runner.) Of course, I had to tell the truth. Katie (in the middle) starting calling me Jan Brady from the Brady Bunch since I had to confess like Jan did on one of the episodes of the Brady Bunch when they tallied her score wrong so she wasn't really the winner. I realize this story probably makes no sense...but just know it was one of those times when we just could not stop laughing! A great way to start the day with friends and to honor one of our fallen heros.
Now onto some cards! I loved the ColourQ palette this week. ColourQ is celebrating their second anniversary and in addition to the color palette, they're challenging us to CASE one of the past winners. For this card, I cased Rosemary. I loved the score lines in her cards and how she used the white space so well on her card. So here's my card using some new Technique Tuesday stamps.
I couldn't stop at just one card...so I also cased a card from Rosemary. This is pretty close to an example replica! I loved her card and pulled out my Verve Stamps for this one.
Happy World Card Making Day! Hope you are spending time with your crafty friends creating!

Fabulous card! I love the snowflakes and the holly together. Both those Colour Queens made my shortlist too but I picked another one in the end.
Happy WCMD Lynn! Looks like you had a fun start to the day and managed to get inky... it doesn't get much better that that :) Love both of your cards.
congrats on the great time for walking/running!! LOL So did you run while in the walking group? I'm a little confused :) Or was it just your name in the walking group and you ran with your friends :) They must think you are the fastest walker yet! What gorgeous CAS cards...love all that crisp white! Went to pick up my winter clothes at the storage unit :) It's cold now :( Bought some more paper 'cause I don't have enough!! LOL Echo Park, Lilybee and the new OA Sidewalk :)
Great cards Lynn, love how CAS the first is and cute loopy flowers on the second ...that's the CQ I chose to CASE too :)

You used these colors so beautifully on both cards, Lynn! And good for you running in a 5K! You look fabulous in the photo and I had to giggle at your cute story! :) Happy WCMD to you, my friend! :)
I remember once long ago stumbling upon your blog when you posted about running and I remember how awesome you must be to manage those boys, run, and make great cards. It is still the same today. I love that first card the most, it is so soft but so powerful.

What an amazing time for a walker!!! LOL! I think I'd have had to 'fess up too but 31mins is still a great time to run 5K in! Congrats to you all!
These cards are pure CAS perfection! I love the colour blocking of the second one :)
