Blowing Bubbles

Do you remember when/where you were when you first learned to blow a bubble?  I was in the "back back" of our family station wagon driving from Pittsburgh to New Mexico...that was a loooonnng drive. My cousin, David, taught me how to blow bubbles and shuffle cards on that trip.   When I got home from work last night, Jonathon was proudly showing me how he learned to blow a bubble yesterday.  Of course, I had to snap a few pictures!
I also wanted to share a card for the latest Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge.  I used some of my newer papers for this card...it came together quickly and I'm pleased with the nice clean layout with a few extra little embellishments.  Hope you like it too!
Ingredients:  Cardstock:  PaperTrey Ink Kraft, Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White; Ink:  Stampin' Up Basic Black, Kraft White and Cherry Cobbler; Twine:  The Twinery; Stamps:  Verve New Mercies; Ribbon: Stampin' Up Cherry Cobbler; Die:  Verve, Stampin' Up and Spellbinders; Patterned Paper:  Lily Bee Designs

LOL I really don't remember when I learned that! I do remember learning not to blow bubbles while driving my moped though - it becomes a big bug catcher!

Love the lilac and red on your card and the corrugated butterfly. :)

Great photos of your son!

I am loving the purple and red on your card! Your bow is absolutely gorgeous--I should have had you give me a lesson on double bows!

You know, I can't quite remember when I learned to blow bubbles, but I do remember the feeling of really sticky bubble gum on my face and how hard it was to get off :) Way to go Jonathon!! Ah, looks like you love the same purple piece of paper in that pad that I do :) I wish they had 6 pieces of it! LOVE the butterfly...SB sleeve? LOL, I still have the one Angel gave me in my purse :) Love the bit of twine and gorgeous ribbon :) I am missing our happy hour with wine before dinner ;)

This is a beautiful card, I love those colors together and wouldn't do it myself but now, well, I might have too!! My boy just learned how to blow bubbles a couple of weeks ago from the backseat of the truck. I probably shouldn't mention that the gum ended up on the dash though, he blew a bit too hard on the last one!
