Hello there! This week's Wee Memories Challenge is color inspiration. I clearly made a spring time card as I love that the flowers are starting to bloom. I imagine we'll get a small April snow here in Cincinnati as we seem to every year, but that doesn't prevent me from thinking spring! I also love pink and green together. I think that goes back to my love of the "preppy" phase of life with grosgrain ribbon bows and wooden handle purses where you changed the covers (my favorite was a pink gingham cover with a red strawberry on it). How many of you out there had lots of big grosgrain hair bows? I had a huge collection! So...my card was inspired by spring but also by the "preppy" colors and styles of my younger days.

Love it, Lynn! I also love the way you explained why you used these colors! This combo is a fave of mine too and I LOVED those wood-handled purses! (Although I think I was a bit older than you when I had mine!) Beautiful, pink ribbon and such a fun butterfly pin!
I love that simple stamped image in the frame and the pattern stamped on the bottom half is cool too. I really want to see a picture of you all prepped out with a grosgrain ribbon in your hair!! :)
Thanks for passing on that weather by the way!! :P
This is beautiful, Lynn! Love the pattern stamped on the bottom, the frame, the pretty ribbon with the stick pin, love it ALL!
oh, I love those colours too and on kraft? Swoon! I'm thinking that's the Verve Serenity set...I was thinking about that exact set today!! I really want to use it this weekend for some reason!! LOL
Oh my! Can I just say my eyes opened really wide when I saw the lovely pink ribbon meshed with the subtle color of that cardstock, so wonderful and pleasing to the eye!
What a lovely card Lynn. I love the simple frame around your focal image and the cute background stamp along the bottom is perfect. xx
Hi :D Pass by my blog! I have left an award for you :D

So love the butterfly stick pin. It is a very nice touch! Makes me want spring!!!!
Ahh, you are taking me back to my preppie phase. I used to work at a store called Pappagallo which was totally prep. I had it all...chinos, espadrilles, Top-siders, penny loafers and my fav...the pink oxford with my monogramed kelly green crew sweater knotted around my shoulders.
So pretty! Love the frame and layout! Thanks for playing along with us at Wee Memories!
Just beautiful! I love that frame cutout!
Your card is just gorgeous, Lynn. I love pink and green. It does remind me of my childhood! I remember how excited I was when my mom let me redo my room in those colors! I also remember wanting to do bold, bright pink and green on the walls, but I only got a very muted pink and green! LOL! I like to tease my mom about that now. I guess bold bright color just wasn't the thing to do on the walls of your home in the 80's! ;)
This is gorgeous, Lynn! That frame adds so much, and I love your little pins and the stamping on the bottom, which reminds me of an Easter basket. Beautiful card!
Oh yeah, I had those big bows, in all sorts of colors I would shy away from now! Your card is so very pretty, and sweet, perfect for easter.
This is beautiful, Lynn! I love the soft, spring colours and the layout you used. I never think to double die-cut my frames so thank you for the reminder! I didn't wear much of anything in my hair. Straight and slippery Asian hair doesn't really allow anything to stay in it. ;)
