Brotherly Love...

When I got home from work last night, I found this post it note on Collin and Marcel's bedroom door.  I imagine if I had any little girls, the signs would say, "NO BOYS ALLOWED" or "NO GIRLS ALLOWED".  Instead, the little brothers that don't have their own rooms get a little frustrated with the older brothers that do!  I love how Collin spelled Jonathon's name phonetically...Jona"fin".  Too funny.  When I asked Collin if he wrote it, he responded, "Yes..." with raised eyebrows...wondering if I was going to tell him to take it down. Made me giggle...

And of course...want to share a quick card inspired by the colors in this week's Off the Wall Craftiness challenge.  All the goodies on this card are from My Mind's Eye.

LOL! Oh dear! What did Jonathan do to get himself banned from their room?
Those owls are so cute! I like how you did the paper piecing layers in a different order on each one.

Adorable owls and like the wood background.
I'm laughing at the phonetic spelling...you need to save that one! (Last week my seven year old daughter made me a b-day card that said I'm "buetuful". Hey, sounds correct :)

Both your card and your boy's note are too cute! My boys share a room now, it is going ok, but probably not for too long.

eek! This is sooooooo wonderful, Lynn!! What a pop of colour and those pieced little owls, adorable...this is publishing worthy!! I hope you submit it....I love constructed spelling...I get a whole lot of it all day long...but I love when they write for everyday needs like this...signs, lists, notes :) We are writing to my leprechaun in class this week ;)

Aw...those owls on your card are super sweet, they just tell the story! Love the little post-it note, don't you just love the things our kids come up with? :)

What a cute card (and sign too!) Gotta love kids don't ya. Yep, Coleen spells phonetically too. Yesterday she wrote, "Love Own Unnunthre"
Pretty close don't you think. Her teacher said she is a really bright child and wants to learn, which is a good thing.

You have so much "fun" with your boys Lynn - both the good and not-so-good kind. I remember putting up a sign similar to this for my brother to keep out - and it just made him more annoying, ha!!
Gorgeous card - I'm not much of a fan of the "whole owl movement" but these wee birdies are adorable!! Love the piecing and your layout. xx
