Relationship Advice from Ryan

Good morning...happy Saturday!  I'll start off by saying by post has absolutely nothing to do with my card below!  Life with a 13 year old boy continues to make me laugh.  Ryan has his second girlfriend of his 7th grade year and is full of "wisdom" on how to keep a girlfriend.  These are tidbits of conversations from the last few weeks.
  • "You don't just got out with a girl just because you think she's hot.  You have to have something in common to go out."
  • "You don't tell a girl that you think she's hot.  If you think's she hot, you tell her she looks pretty, not that she looks hot."
  • "If you don't want a girl to break up with you, you have to talk to her."  This point of wisdom came after two of his friends had their girlfriends break up with them for not talking to them.  When I asked him why it wouldn't happen to him, he stated, "Because I talk to her every chance I get."  Yikes!...but really true that you do need to talk to your girlfriend.  I broke up with my first boyfriend in the eighth grade because he never called :)
So there you have it...straight from a 13 year old...how to have a successful relationship:  have things in common, compliment them politely and talk to them!  Sounds pretty good!  He makes me laugh...

And here's a card for you for today.  I'm posting this to Caardvark's challenge to make a monochromatic card.  This is their last challenge and I can't thank all the ladies their enough for the constant inspiration!  I'll miss you!

This is a beautiful card! Sounds like Ryan is on the right track, my twelve year old Shelby has been talking about a few boys at school recently and about how one in particular is "her best friend". Well, he jokingly told her a few days ago that they should "date" and she got the biggest kick out of it. They are so funny at this age!

Ryan's pretty smart for a 13 year old boy. If he keeps it up he'll always have a line of girls waiting for him! LOL!
Gorgeous card - love the subtle bling.

Ryan could write a book and go on tour!! Funny how some grown men don't know that!! Hmm, now I'm wanting to ask Jake what he thinks women like :) Gorgeous card!!!LOVE the repeated images and bling...so soft and subtle :) Have a great weekend...I have half the cards done, but need to address them to see how many more I'll need.

Ryan sounds like a very smart young man and may be okay without reading Men are from Mars / Women are from Venus....... my husband still uses that as a reference guide :) Beautiful card ...... I love your focal stamp!!!

How funny! Ryan is a very wise boy. ;D Your card is absolutely gorgeous, especially the little tag and sprinkling of gemstones. I found myself reading the sources to find out where you go them!

Ryan is learning fast!

Your card is making me angry though. I had told myself firmly last night that this set was off my wish list. I have a smaller pussy willow stamp and don't "need" a bigger one, right? Shoot, you're weakening my resolve because your card is so PERFECT! And I could never duplicate it with the piddly stamp I have.

Sigh.
