Little Tidbits

Happy Friday Eve...I hope your weekend gets off to a great start.  I am out of town for work as I mentioned earlier and heading home Saturday morning.  Hopefully it is a very uneventful trip home!  I thought I'd share a few tidbits of what is happening at our house...
  • Pat has been working with Marcel on his letters and writing.  Needless to say, Marcel hasn't been very interested...until tonight when Pat came home from Jonathon's basketball practice and Collin announced, "Marcel has something to tell you daddy.  Marcel spell your name for daddy."  "M-A-R-C-E-L."  "Now spell your last name Marcel."  "G-A-N-G-A-N."  "Close Marcel, but it starts with an M.  M-A-N-G-A- N."  "M-A-N-G-A-N."  So stinking excited to hear him spell it to me when I get home!  Pat and I both love that Collin wanted to help him learn it!  Very, very sweet and Pat's joy on the phone tonight at seeing them work together made my heart so happy.
  • Collin was very sad that I was leaving for a work trip.  Tears on Tuesday night which I don't like at all, but tonight on the phone with him was so sweet.  "Mommy, I made you a card because I miss you.  I was in your craft room."  Can't wait to see it!
  • Jonathon received a book of strange facts from my sister-in-law and brother for his birthday.  Right up his alley.  So, he's been reading random facts and telling goofy jokes.  The perfect gift for him!  Current joke of choice:  "Knock, knock."  "Who's there?" "Car-go."  "Car-go who?"  "Car-go beep beep."  Is it bad that it's not funny after the fifth time!!?
  • According to Ryan, it has been too long since I blogged about him.  I asked him what he'd like for me to say.  "I don't know mom...you can just tell them I'm awesome."  Again...not sure where he gets that level of confidence and for those of you who haven't met him...he's really not a brat!  I'll have a post on him soon...I am amazed at how much he has grown in a year and I have to share some pictures of him from the last 12 months.  He is no longer my little boy :( and yet he is still my little boy. :)
And now...a card for Jay Gee's Nook challenge.   It's their second challenge and their design team has lots of great inspiration.  Come play along!
