Ever stop and think about the little things happening around you that make you happy or sad? Here are some random little things happening around here lately:
- Twice in the last week, I've had to fill out papers for Ryan and had to put down what year he is graduating from high school. Stopped me in my tracks the first time. I'm not ready to think about when he graduates...it may be six years away...but I know it will be a happy and hard at the same time.
- I love my neighborhood....all the little things...
- The sidewalks...so the boys can ride bikes on the sidewalk instead of the street.
- When I go running, there is always someone else out running, walking or riding bikes...lots of "good mornings"...make me smile.
- Playsets sprinkled throughout so many backyards.
- Friends we can count on...
- A yard full of bikes in my front yard when I get home from work. Love lots of boys playing at our house.
- Jonathon and Emma holding hands when we went out The Beach Waterpark on Sunday. Two best friends...at 9 years old...just having.
What little things make you happy or sad?
Now...onto some crafting! It's been a long time since I've played along with a CPS Sketch. I needed some quick inspiration for a card earlier this week so off I went. Not to sure about the ribbon on the card...added it at the last minute (so you'll have to tell me what you think!) I'd also love to hear what your favorite challenge websites are...I love a good challenge blog...so leave me a note. Tell me which ones you love and why!

Lovely card! The colors with scalloped edges on the side...so pretty! Cute ribbon also! TFS!
Oh, love the OA paper!!!! Hmmm things that make me happy? Right now, having the summer off to recharge and do "nothing." Talking with my son who lives 3.5 hours away in the BIG city. He has a great summer job and loves it:) I get to see him tomorrow as we head down to my brother's 50th. (PLUS my HUGE PTI order is waiting at his house!!!) I had to laugh when you said you had to fill out the year your son would graduate...is that for school stuff? Yikes!!! I know from my brother that the whole graduation process in the States can be onerous. Hope it's not that. Let them enjoy each year in peace :)
I think we enjoy many of the same challenges!! PTI blog hop (a better chance of winning a set than commenting during release time! lol), Embellish, CPS, I like Mercy's sketches, the Viva La Verve sketches and all the Verve fun...lots of chances to win free stamps....I also like the Waltzing Mouse sketch, just discovered 2S4Y sketches. Sometimes Stacy's curtain call colours. I really pick and choose now, though. If I don't like a colour combo or sketch I pass (unless it's for free stamps!! lol)...we're in this for the love and creativity, not to fit into someone else's box. Great post today :)
Oh, and I totally forgot...my own made up Wild Card Colour Challenge!!! LOL (the WaCCCky!)
This is such a great card Lynn! I love the multiple scallops and beautiful flowers, and the colors are so pretty! Btw, congrats on making the Fab 4 at PDCC ;)
Soooo pretty Lynn, i just love it!! :) :) :) :) :)I think about those things from time to time. What makes me happy is waking up to a new day and kissing my daughter and my husband to be.
Oohhh, I love the yellows and blues together! I love those big scallops and I'm glad you use Beautiful Blooms because I'm thinking about putting that set on my next order. Do you use it a lot?
Cute card! I love the colors, and those fun scallops! Thanks for joining us at CPS this week!!
