PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop

For my Just Us Gils card, click here!

Happy Saturday!  I'm going to keep it super quick here as after lunch we're heading out with Collin, Marcel, Jonathon, their cousin Will and friend, Logan, for a day at Kings Island (our amusement park). We'll stay through the fireworks at 10...so it will be a long, but super fun day. The weather is beautiful here.  We're hoping that everyone else is distracted with back to school so that we don't have long waits for the rides!

Now...onto the topic at hand. I loved the gorgeous inspiration photo and especially the beautiful felt flower, so I went with that color for the start of my chevrons and the card base. For each of the chevrons, I stamped off to get multiple shades of the blues and browns.  Added a cardboard flower (from a Starbucks sleeve...thanks Moe! :)), a button and a touch of twine!

Now...this card has a bit of the fall patterns on the patterned papers, but it is a case of this beauty by Cristina.  Almost exactly the same, but ultra CAS...and I love it!!
Hope you have fun hopping along on the blog hop!

I've used take out sleeves before too, always handy to have in the drawer of die cuts. Love the texture on the first one and the simplicity of the second one. Have fun at the amusement park.
