Splash Park

The temperatures were back up yesterday...so I took the little boys to a new water park about ten minutes from our house.  Collin and Marcel had a ball.  Love the expressions on their faces.  We stayed for just a little bit before heading to the pool as Jonathon and me were melting in the heat!  Needless to say that want to go back very soon!

I thought I'd get to the card set challenge for Stamp-A-Faire yesterday, but I ended up not doing a whole card set...instead I played along with the Embellish Challenge.  This card is inspired by the final day of Stretch Your Stamps and an absolutely gorgeous card from Shari Carroll. This card is really close to it.  I have not used this embossing folder in years.  Love how much texture it adds to a still CAS card.  And the color combo from the challenge is gorgeous. The sentiment looks a bit greener in real life, but you get the feel for it!

Hope your week gets off to a great start!

  3. The water park sounds fab. After a cold wet wintry day here in NZ your bit of sunshine brightens the day. As does your card. The colour combo is such a pretty pallete to work with. Another great idea for using embossing folders. This one is gorgeous.

  12. Your card is super gorgeous, Lynn! Looks like fun times at the splash park! We have one about 15 minutes away at White Water park that the boys love. It has a pirate theme, which makes for some fun role playing. My oldest is not so keen on it anymore (makes me sad). He usually sulks under the umbrella! :)

  14. Can't go wrong with kids and water :) Used to love watching my kids at the water park - now we have moved on to the pool with swimming lessons and my doing laps while they are in their lessons. Love the EF you used in the BG and lovely touch with the pins.
