The Pre-Vacation Panic...

Before I get to my card, let's chat for a bit. I'm getting ready to go on vacation next week. One week from today I'll be heading to England for a quick one week trip with my mum to visit my 93 year old nana and my cousin, Sandie.  I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm officially in panic mode.  Ryan's Confirmation is on Sunday and baseball officially starts on Saturday.  Of course, there is work and normal life too.  Really nothing to complain about, but I'm stressing just a bit.  Anyone else get into the pre-vacation panic?  At the same time, I'm also thanking my lucky stars that I have a hubby who encouraged me to go with my mum to see my nana since it has been too long since I've seen here.  He's so supportive.  I think I should leave this card for him...even if it isn't Father's Day just yet.  I played along with this card for the current ColourQ Challenge.

I totally know what you mean about the pre-vacation panic! I always feel like I don't take a breath until I finally sit down on the plane. Everything will be sorted though and you're going to have an amazing trip!

And you should definitely leave the card for Pat. Why should mums and dads only get celebrated once a year anyway?

well I'm so pleased Pat encouraged you to come over. I am super excited-was in town at the weekend checking out what shoe stores we will be visiting!
Pat will just love this card and yes I always get really in a mess before going and in 'all that washing' stress when I get home!! xx

I know just what you mean, Lynn! I always get so stressed out before a trip - but it sounds like you are going to have an *amazing* time! My Nana is from England too, but she's been here since WWII. I had the chance to go a few years ago to visit some cousins we have over there, but I would love to go again. I am sure you will have a great time. I can't wait to hear about it. Love your card, too - this is a great design for these colors!

I think we can all relate to pre vacation panic although you do have a full plate! However, you and Pat seem to make is run like a well oiled wheel!! I'm sure once all the boys are grown you'll look back and ask,"how did we do it!?" At least you can say you are living life to its fullest! One day at a time! Love these colours and the sentiment that I know Pat will appreciate :)

Great card, Lynn, for your wonderful and supportive husband. So happy for you that you get to go on this trip with your mum and go see your nana....such special moments in life. As for pre-vacation panic, I totally understand. There's always SO MUCH to do in everyday life, and it all seems to multiply before vacation. I always love the moment when I'm finally on my way and can't do one more thing to "get ready". That is when I finally relax. I love how thankful you are for these opportunities, so just don't forget to "live in the present", ENJOY!

I guess I am not alone in terms of pre vacation panic. We will be out of country for a month in July. It's planned a year ago. last week I was so not sure and almost decided not to go.

Great use of those colors on a masculine card.

Preparing for vacation and recovering once you return are the hardest parts of taking a trip, aren't they? I know it will all come together and be well worth the anxiety. Hugs to you, my friend!
Love the way you combined these colors for a masculine but cheerful design. Thanks so much for joining us again at the ColourQ!

Definately get the pre-vacation issues! Well for me a one week vacation takes 3 weeks at least - one week to prepare and fuss, one week away and one week to unpack and catch up!! Hope you have a lovely time :)

Breathe, Lynn, Breathe! Everything will be A.OK! I think it's normal to have a little panic when you've got so much on and you have to leave it behind temporarily!
Love this guy card! The colours rock and your layout is fabulous!

Pre-vacay panic... oh I know nothing about that. Ha. I go insane before trying to get things in order and to leave with a clutter free brain. Good luck to you, I'm sure you will get it all done.

LOVE this father's day card. the colors are amazing and what a fabulous one layer card.
