Collin's First Communion {and a card...}

Collin's First Communion went perfectly yesterday.  He was so proud to be all dressed up in his suit.  He actually kept everything on put the tie for the entire day.  He is the first of my three to be interested in wearing nice clothes this young.  When he looked at himself in the mirror after he was dressed, he said, "I look tiny."  He did, but oh so handsome!  He did well through all the photos...with us, Nana/PopPop, Mum/Hank, and his godparents, Laura/Mark.

And...through even more...with the whole First Communion group, with our family, Jonathon and Olivia having fun, his fingers dipping into the cake (if you peek to the left), with his cousins, Aunt Molly, opening presents and a little cuddle time with Nana!

At mass, he was very proud to be part of the offertory procession.  Pat and I follow behind him when he goes to communion.  When he bowed, we both thought he was going to knock the wine out of the distributor's hands!  Thankfully, he didn't!  After mass, we all came back to our house for a late lunch and a few presents.

Of course, I didn't want to leave you without a card!  I smudged the ink a bit on the lines from this lovely Verve stamp set, but I love the sentiment on this.  "There are big ships and small ships, but the best ship of all is friendship. Friendship is the golden thread that ties the heart of all the world."  I'm entering this in the CAS-ual Friday's Paper Piecing Challenge.
