Little Baby: Big Love {and hitting the pavement}

Admittedly, I am a bit behind on the vellum trend and why oh why I'm asking myself haven't I jumped on earlier.  Laurie is consistently showing gorgeous cards with vellum.  Her Retro Sketch card from this week was jaw dropping.  I decided to have a go around simplifying the sketch just a bit.  I love the soft patterned paper in the background.  I'll be back on Friday with another card using vellum!  Thanks for a great sketch at Retro Sketch.

I also wanted to share that I'm back at it running again. I'm so thankful for the warmer weather. I've signed up to run the Flying Pig Marathon with two co-workers and Ryan. I'll be the oldest runner in our relay by 20 years.  Think I need to get a move on with my training so that I'm not immensely slower than all of them!  It feels so good to be running regularly again.  I've lost 15 lbs over the last 6 months so this is great momentum to keep me going!

squeal! I LOVE this with the vellum and enamel dots! Can't wait to see more vellum! Wow! 15 lbs! You go girl! It's not as easy as when we were in our 20s. I've really tried to up my workouts too despite being in school. It's easier now that there are longer days :) I'm sure you'll run circles around them all! ox

This card is fabulous, Lynn! Love the vellum and the dots. Well done with the weight loss and running :) Used to love running in the spring and summer as the weather is warm and the sights are wonderful - flowers, people out gardening, smells of spring and summer.

This is gorgeous, Lynn! I love the vellum over those papers. So simple but so perfect for a new baby card!
And whoop whoop for being back at the running! I've been benched from the Couch to 5K for the moment. :( Between shin splints and a messed up knee I'm now in physio and waiting for orthodic inserts SO FRUSTRATING!!

Kudos on the running, vellum is good and an embossing buddy is helpful if do you a lot of heat and embossing with vellum.
