I love taking sketches and trying to reduce the number of layers on the sketch. So...today's card features the sketch over at Just Us Girls. I masked off all the blue circle and then inked it up to create the oval shape featured in the sketch. I think stamped the sentiment and border before embossing the sentiment panel. As a final touch, I added the baby die cut. A sweet little CAS baby card.
What about you? Layers or no layers as a preference?

Ingredients:
- Simon Says Darling Baby Stamps/Die nd Really Big Thanks

ReplyDeleteSweet way to use the sketch! Thanks for joining in with JUGS!!
ReplyDeleteCool... did you stamp it and then emboss it?
ReplyDeleteYou are the queen of CAS...this is so very sweet.
ReplyDeleteyou are a master maskerer...lol, say that fast 10 times! You make it look like there should be more layers :) I have yet to perfect that so I still have to stick to actual layers. Hope all is well...where's that weekend! ACK!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your take on the sketch! Great colours too! I have a hard time with CAS so more on the layered side for me :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm not a stamper, I have to go with layers, but not so they are big and bulky, just enough to have the images I want. I love your one layer cards, though.
ReplyDeletethis is just fabulous Lynn-one to pin for sure! And do I need to tell you...no layers!!
ReplyDeleteThis is soooo cute! Love that SSS die!
ReplyDeleteSuch a soft, sweet, little number, Lynn! Really in love with that linen plate!
ReplyDeleteDarling design! I prefer no layers!! so this one is my kind of card :)
ReplyDeleteYou are definitely a champ at CASifying sketches. :) Love the inked circle and that sweet baby die cut! I'm more of a layers girl but that's just because I'm a nervous stamper! LOL!
