Continuing on with my note card creations, I have two sets of cards to share with you. When I saw the challenge over at Just Us Girls, I immediately thought of my mother-in-law. She loves everything blue. I also thought about this amazing card from Cristina. It is beyond gorgeous. I decided to CASE it using blues and a snowflake. One design idea is that this card works a lot better if the die has a small center like the butterfly on Cristina's. When I cut off half the snowflake, it didn't look right, so I kept the snowflake inlaid on the strips of card stock. Does that make any sense?! Anyways...I'm happy with the end result!
Before I made these cards, I made a much simpler card set using a new Verve set. If you haven't been over to the Verve site, they have an awesome sale going on to celebrate their sixth anniversary! I inked the snowflake wreath up with three different ink colors and made a quick set of cards.
Last but not least, I had a bit of extra paper left over, so I die cut another snowflake and made one last card.
