Five days until Santa arrives! And our CAS-ual Fridays challenge today (just a bit early) is the perfect challenge for those last minute holiday creations you need to finish up. We're partnering with the 10 Minute Craft Dash. I have to admit that I loved this challenge: make a holiday card in less than 10 minutes. I made three different cards...each less than 10 minutes.
And...to make this two week challenge even better our sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! Your chance to win some CFS awesome stamps!
Here are some fun tips for you to think about when you need to quickly make a card:
- Choose a color combo that you love so that you don't spend a lot of time looking at inks and papers. In my case, queue up Cherry Cobbler and Chocolate Chip (notice the blog header :)!)
- If you are using patterned papers, don't use too many. Using the same 6x6 paper pad helps with coordinating papers if you want to use them.
- Little touches can go along way...for me, I inked up the edges and rounded a corner. My Ranger Distress Ink favorite colors are: Antique Linen and Pumice Stone for neutral colors to add a bit of dimension to the card.
I hope you have a chance to play along! As always, I'm looking forward to seeing your entries in the challenge gallery!
PS This is a two week challenge! Merry Christmas to you and your family and we'll be back in two weeks with another fabulous challenge from CAS-ual Fridays!
