It's the end of the school year...the boys will all be out on Friday. Last week Collin's class had their field day. They had a blast (and Marcel was happy he got to participate too). The best part of the day was the paint balloon launcher (top middle) and the teacher's having pies smashed in their faces :) They slept well that night!
And...I have a card to share for the current The Craft's Meow Sketch Challenge. Have you noticed a them this week's with me playing with my goodies from there? I decided to make the side border subtle my inking the background in a different color. Love how easy it is to line up these borders from the Retro Background set. Happiness...

ReplyDeleteEven though these two boys might not like it, I am going to say that they are adorable painted up like that! Looks like one fun day. And oh my oh my look at your beautiful, simple and elegant card. Love the background stamping and how the sentiment really shines next to the beautiful butterfly! Thanks for linking up to TCM as well!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun pics...I remember my kids use to have field day too!

LOVE how you lined up those retro lines with the turquoise to the far right! LOVE that FAB sentiment and the butterfly! You are the QUEEN of CAS!
ReplyDeleteYou're rocking Karen's new set... and the butterfly is fabulous (grinning at your literal take-- woo hoo).
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun, successful field day! My boys are not out until next Tuesday. They are chomping at the bit, and are already in summer mode. LOL!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so beautiful, Lynn. Love the background and the way you tied the twine on the butterfly. :)
Now that's an awesome field day! I can think of a few teachers who I'd love to have seen get pied!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove your card. You should be getting some commission from TCM for this because you're making me want to hit their shop!!
Ah, field day! That was always one of my favorite days with my boys! Thank you, once again, for bringing back some sweet memories!

ReplyDeleteoh, fun year end parties! I can't wait! I'm very impressed that your boys got their faces painted...Jake never wanted fun things like that...wouldn't even wear a fun little Curious George name badge at the Public Library story time! Love this sweet sentiment...stamped border is a great idea!! This would mail wonderfully {wink!} lol
ReplyDeletethe background/border idea is so creative and one I may just have to use!
ReplyDeleteFun pictures, Lynn!! :) Great collage too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous and fun day!!! We don't get to have pies in our faces at our school - think I'd have to find the waterproof make-up if we did LOL!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous take on the TCM Sketch - you're seriously working those TCM stamps to the extreme!
Hugs!
