Yesterday, I mentioned Breakfast with Santa put on by the middle school and high school show choirs. Before I get my card, I thought I'd share a few pictures of Ryan performing! He was so excited about the performance. And we were very proud that he was in the front row! He is definitely getting more comfortable with dancing while he is singing. We loved it and continue to be very proud...can you tell?!
For the current Embellish Banners Color Trends Challenge, I wanted to stamp banners without adding layers to my card. It has been a bit since I used my Hero Arts banners so I decided to pull them out! I definitely need birthday cards added to my stash so this was a welcome change from Christmas :) I followed a similar layout to the two cards shown here adding the flourish in neutral inks for a bit of depth to the background. I also tried to add the smaller flourishes as the "ties" between the banners. What do you think?

I think it looks fabulous! Love the small flourish ties, the inked edges and the 2 rounded corners. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd Ryan looks great - like he's really enjoying himself. Awesome!
Love the stamped swirls Lynn and especially how you used them for the banner ties :)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful Lynn, the muted colors are really great! And I so much enjoyed the pictures, it seems like you can feel his excitement too at performing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards-love the colours. Mum and Anne say thanks for putting the flags out for them!!
ReplyDeleteIs that John Travolta in the front row-or is it his understudy??
What a wonderful performance - looks like you got some really good photos there! I bet you are so proud! Your card is very sweet with the streaming banner!
