Time Out: You are Sunshine for My Soul

Welcome back to Time Out!  It's time for our reminder post. We have a beautiful inspiration by word challenge for you:

'If you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely' Road Dahl

I was a bit later to the distress oxide ink trend...but for someone who has struggled getting distress inks to sponge smoothly these are a dream!  I had fun masking off a few lines to make this one layer card.  I let the sentiment take the center stage and thought it was great for the inspiration statement.

I hope you can join us at Time Out!

Well I don't need to tell you this makes me do a happy dance!! CAS Perfection! I thought that was stamping. I can't do the sponging either. Nonni tried to teach me but still I am useless at it. I haven't looked into th oxide trend, a bit reluctant to buy another trend produce as I have a feeling I would still go back to the stamps!

Capital C for CASlicious, Lynn! You did a beautiful job blending your stripes and you give me hope that I, too, can blend now that these new inks make it easier!! Hugs, Darnell

Wonderful sentiment on this sweet CAS card, Lynn. Those stripes are fabulous, and I've yet to try the DO inks...late to the party again, lol. I love this one layer card. And the most perfect sentiment...! Bev

Oh, I struggle with ink blending too. Must be the ink. I might have to give these a try! Terrific CAS card and terrific ink blending Lynn!

Blending with Distress Oxides is much easier than with regular Distress Ink. I found it easier with Bristol Smooth, but Oxides still smoother. Beautiful stripes and CAS card Lynn, love that sentiment!

Your sponged lines look great! I actually thought you had used a line stamp so your blending really is perfectly smooth, well done! Fabulous CAS design.

Lynn, I'm having the best time catching up on your blog...so so many cards to love. And I was super thrilled to read what you wrote about the Distress Oxide Inks. I thought I was the only one in the world who wasn't thrilled about Distress Inks, so I wasn't even going to try these out, but I think you've changed me mind.
