Happy Birthday Jonathon!

Popping in with a birthday card to celebrate Jonathon's 15th birthday.  He is growing into such a wonderful young man.  Here are a few highlights of this past year:

  • He has past his older brother in height...and he is oh so close to passing Pat!
  • He has found a love for building computers and computer programming.  At the beginning of the year, he decided to build his first computer.  He is addicted! He's built a computer and is continually taking it apart, buying different parts and building an even better one.  In school, he is taking his first programming class and loves that too.  I love seeing his eyes light up when he researches new parts for his computer or talks about what he is programming. He's also involved in a program at school related to programming.
  • He has become involved with our church youth group.
  • He has a heart that is a mile wild.
  • He is extremely helpful in the morning making lunch for all of his brothers.
  • He's learned to play base guitar and we can often hear him both playing and singing along in his room.
I love what a wonderful young man he is.  His smile and laugh light up the room.  Happy birthday my beautiful brown eyed boy.

Happy Birthday to Jonathon!!! He sounds a lot like my oldest - he built his own computer too - years ago and just recently had to take it apart to add new things. I'm always amazed how much he knows! I hope Jonathon has a wonderful day, Lynn! ♥

Handsome, brilliant, kind, caring, helpful, faithful....sounds like the perfect recipe for a son! I can see the love shine through in your post and delightfully teenage boy card. You and Pat have some mad parenting skills! I've been out of the loop for a while....company coming and a huge Thanksgiving crowd coming; cleaning, shopping, cooking, and I've got to get some crafts organized for the 8 little ones who will be here! BTW... thanks for the happy mail. It's in a place of honor in my craft room! Blessed Thanksgiving. Bev

Happy Birthday Jonathon! Yes is t it amazing how quickly they go form being a boy to a young man. It makes me happy to hear his love for Computer Science. I loved teaching that for so many years. I would love seeing how creative the kids would get building their own programs!

His wonderful character is a direct reflection of great parenting. This mommy heart is smiling with pride for you :) My 15 year old is now taller than his dad and still growing. The years go buy oh so quickly! Perfect teen card.

I was just commenting to my granddaughter about how some of these traits are passed down through the generations. Maybe not the computer stuff, but his kindness, helpfulness and passion are learned by example. Happy Birthday, Jonathon.
