RIP Officer Kim

Last Friday, I received a phone call that I wish never would have happened. A police officer and father to my children's classmates was killed in the line of duty.  It was tragic, senseless and evil.  A terrible way to lose a loved one.  A police officer, husband, father of three and amazing community member lost.  Our community is rallying around the Kim family.  Lifting them up in so many ways.  On Friday, Ryan's choir will sing at the funeral.  Our community will wrap our arms around them and continue to lift them up. Teaching our children some of life's hardest lessons as we teach them to say, "I don't know what to say, but I am here for you."  Words are hard to come by.  My friend, Ann, wrote this blog post and stated so eloquently how we are all feeling.

My card above will be sent to the Kim family.  The card below will be sent to our friend, Steve. Steve is the officer liaison to the Kim family.  God bless him as he was the one to go to the family to share the horrible news.    The serenity prayer seemed appropriate as Steve provides strength to their family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kim family now and always.  Rest in Peace Officer Kim.  Our heartfelt gratitude for your service and ultimate sacrifice.
