Time Out: You Rock and Happy Birthday Ryan

Today is Ryan's 18th birthday. My oh my where does the time go!  I'll be sharing is card in a couple of weeks for another upcoming challenge.  Let's chat about the fact that he is turning 18 today!  It seems like yesterday that he arrived almost 3 weeks early and he was tiny...5 lbs 15 oz.  One year from now we'll be getting ready for his high school graduation.  I'm so proud of the young man that he is becoming. He continues to expand his horizons.  Love him more than I could ever put into words.  Starting to feel emotional that he will be leaving home soon but am so proud of him and my heart simply swells.  Here's a recent picture of Pat and I with Ryan.  Love how his heart is in his smile in this picture.

It's also a Thursday and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Time Out.  I had fun using stamps from PaperSmooches and a fun little electric guitar die cut from Frantic Stampers.

We have a theme challenge for you:

Grunge with the optional twist of embossing

We are being sponsor by Stamploration and the prize is a $10 gift voucher.

We love seeing how you are inspired by the challenge at Time Out.  Be sure to pop on over and check out the design team's creations and play along with us.  Also, we have an awesome guest designer for our challenge too!  Pop on over to Ksenija's blog to be inspired by her creations!

I'm also entering this over on the CASology blog where the inspiration word is music.

Fabulous card, Lynn! And Happy Birthday to Ryan! There is such a mix of emotions that hit us when our boys get to this age, isn't there? We feel sadness, pride, joy, worry, etc.... all at the same time! I know you'll really enjoy this coming year with him, and I also know you've raised him to be a wonderful, young man. Hugs to you! ♥

Love this card - so perfect for an 18 year old. My daughter was 5.13 when she was born and in her Jr year this year. Already dreading her graduating next year and then possible moving away for university....a mama's heart can be a tough road some times.

My oldest is 10yrs, I can't imagine her turning 18 one day!! You did such a good job with your 'grunge' card, I totally forgot about the 'rock' angle!
