Happy Graduation

I love one layer card challenges and the current One Layer Simplicity Challenge is no exception.  On Friday night, I was getting ready for bed and the idea of stamping arrows in opposite directions popped into my head.  On Saturday morning I got up and my idea quickly translated to paper. I added another opposite (thanks Ardyth) by using a touch of blue which is the opposite on the color wheel of the orange.

I'll be needing a lot of graduation cards over the next year or so as my oldest graduates 18 months from now...that's crazy to think about!

How about you?  Do you like one layer cards are do you find them intimidating?

I love this - the movement of the arrows and star give it a Suess-ian feel (Oh the places you'll go!) and are so appropriate for a graduation, when all directions are possible. I love those cards that turn out the way you thought they would! Thanks for joining us at OLS!

Love this card Lynn, the opposite colours, the clean design and yes I LOVE one layer cards--more thought provoking than some may think.

Perfect card for graduation! One-layer cards are the bomb - particularly this one!! Love the blue and orange, and the message that your arrows give. Very cool. My Lizzy graduates the same time your oldest does...where has that time gone??!! I guess I should think about some graduation cards too...Have a great week. Bev

This is so lovely! I adore the stamping with the arrows, Lynn! Don't forget that V. V. Challenge has one layer going on as well.

One-layer cards totally intimidate me, but you make them look so easy. Love all the stamping here, girl! And the orange and blue is classic. Yum!

Oh, this is so fabulous. I am having trouble thinking of opposite things, and then when I see someone's card, I have that 'aha moment. Pinning this one, as my oldest is graduating this spring. (I cannot believe I am saying that)

I love your opposites! Brilliant. I adore single layer cards, but they aren't always the easiest to create and have them still be interesting. You are a master at that, though.
