I'm So Thankful {and blog candy winner}

I'm popping in with another just because card (not for any particular challenge).  For Christmas, Pat's parents gave us a print of one of his uncle's paintings.  This painting will have a very special place in our home. It is absolutely gorgeous; click here to see it.  His uncle had a traumatic brain injury several years ago, so his painting is not what it used to be.  Thankfully though, Uncle Chris still has a zest for life. Since his injury, I've regularly sent him cards.  He appreciated them so much that he asked us to pick out a second print of his. This made my heart happy that he loves receiving the cards.  So...if you aren't mailing your cards, this is a gentle reminder that everyone loves receiving a happy note now and then!

And my blog candy winner from the Holiday Coffee Lover's Blog Hop is Jerrie from Coloring Outside the Linz...Jerrie, I've popped you a note.

The painting is amazing and very special. I like the design of this card. Obviously love the placement of the trees and pressie (one of my favs) but adding in the strips of cards and patterns makes for a funky twist to the layout we love to use!!

First, your card is simply lovely. Your cards are always CAS, but full of interest and color. Love how you do that! And your card and post has inspired me to make a special card of thanks to a friend in Cali. Love how you've done that too! Popped over to see the painting. I can see exactly why this holds a special place in your heart too. I know my dad would love to see this! Have a great week dear friend. Bev

What a great card, Lynn. I love the strips of paper balancing off the cute stamped images. I can see why that painting is special to you. My wall's are covered with family art. I try to share my cards but don't do it often enough. Thanks for the push. ;)
