PaperSmooches: Happy Christmas

Hello there and welcome to this week's PaperSmooches Sparks challenge.  I've been trying to use my distress inks a bit more often.  For today's card I inked up some white paper with four different color distress inks before die cutting the sentiment with the Christmas Words 2 dies.  The sentiment was adhered and then a strip of black paper was added to ground it. It didn't feel quite finished so I added a chevron strip to the base of the card. I think it could use some sequins...but I stink at figuring out where to place them so I let it go!

Please be sure to stop by the other design team members blogs to check out their fabulous creations.

And of course, we'd love to see you play along. You'll have until Saturday at 11:59 PST to join along.   Hop on over to the PaperSmooches Sparks blog to play along with us!

Love what you've been doing with your distress inks. I've been trying to use them myself lately. This card is fabulous even without sequins ;) heheh!

This is so pretty. I love the way you inked the die cut sentiment, and the patterned paper is a nice addition. Regarding sequins, I seem to remember Jennifer McGuire (or someone else equally famous) saying in a card class one time that she puts 2 sort of together and then one a bit away, and the idea is to create a visual triangle and to draw your eye across and down the card. Hope that helps...

Aren't distress inks so much FUN? I love it when you played with them. Love this colorful and playful card! I love the added strip of paper!

Love the fun colours on your sentiment! I have trouble placing sequins too - I think because I only have one size of them. I find it easier to place gems in a couple of sizes.
