Miss You Dad

Nine years ago today I lost my dad. Despite him being gone for almost a decade he still guides me daily.   Whether it is something one of my boys does that reminds me of my dad, thinking about how he would help me solve a tough problem at work, ease my mind when I was worried or how he could light up a room with his laugh.  My dad loved me unconditionally.  He pushed me to be better than I was the day before, always told me he loved me and praised me for a job well done. He made me laugh like no other.  Oh how I miss him, but know he is shining down on us each and every day.

My card today isn't related to my post. I'm working on a card order.  The request was to make cards for staff that helped a baby through open heart surgery.  I can't think of a much better reason to send a card.  I'm enjoying working on these cards!

Wow! What an emotional post! It'll be 20 years this summer that we lost my dad to Alzheimer's and I miss him terribly too. He was such a great man. Sorry for your loss. And what a great reason to make a beautiful card!

Love this pretty card - and so will the people who receive it! Dads are the best - I'm lucky to still have mine and I spend as much time with him as I can!

What lovely memories you obviously have of your dad, Lynn! He must have been a wonderful man! I lost my dad 37 years ago - I was still in high school - and I miss him to this day. Keeping my memories of him close to my heart has helped me show my boys the kind of man my dad was.

I love your beautiful card - it's perfect! Sending hugs! ♥

Just adore this card!! Love the text in the circle.

Love when people leave such an impression on our lives and fingerprints on our hearts. Coming up to seven years since my dad died and being very much like him, I am often reminded of him :) Hugs to you!!

Your words are touching, I know your dad is shining down on you today so very proud of you. My dad has been gone 17 years, and I still miss him. Sometimes the strangest things remind me of him, like a man whistling at Lowes. They may be gone, but they are never forgotten. Hugs to you today Lynn!
