Sending Caring Thoughts Your Way

Happy Saturday morning my friends.  I started my weekend with a crafty evening last night (and unfortunately a leaky family room).  It is storming as I type this out and the sealant on our roof isn't holding up so we have several buckets sitting in there.  Pat is spending the night at the hospital with a 13 year old in our community that was struck by lightning while he was at camp. Ethan has been hospitalized for 12 weeks now and is working hard at recovering.  To give Ethan's family a break, Pat and many others have been spending the night at the hospital.  Ethan is progressing slowly and we continue to pray for his continued progress.  Each week with progress over the past week is a great week.  I would certainly appreciate your prayers for Ethan and his family.  If you are interested in learning about Ethan, please click on the link.

My card today is inspired by the current MUSE Challenge and the current Addicted to CAS card to make a get well card.  You can tell I loved everything about this card so it is a pretty clear CASE of Marion's gorgeous card.  I hope your weekend is off to a great start.

LOVE the large notebook spiral and what a lovely card with all the blue. The poor boy!! Glad to hear he is progressing, and blessings to Pat for staying with him to give the parents a bit of a break! Praying he will fully recover!

That's terrible about the boy, hope he recovers more quickly.

Your card is so subtle and serene and very pretty!

So kind of your community to rally behind this young boy. His parents are blessed by all of you. Your card is gorgeous. I've been loving this color and you've used it so beautifully here. Love the bit of whimsy with the notebook die. This is just lovely. Bev

What a gorgeous and heartfelt card. Struck by lightening? What are the chances! How heartbreaking! But how wonderful the community comes together. Pat is a gem and a blessing as well as you for holding down things at home without him. Hope you have time to sit and catch your breath this weekend :) ox

Such beautiful cards! I love the flower images on both so much! I'm so sad to hear about Ethan's terrible accident! That is so sad, but so nice that they have so much support. Sorry to hear about your leaky roof, too!

Oh my goodness, that's a terrible thing to have happened :( I'm glad to hear that Ethan is doing better week on week though, that is encouraging news, as is the knowledge that the whole community has pulled together...you just don't get enough of that anymore.

On a cheerier note however, this card is a corker!! I love the turquoise colour and the monotone is perfect ;) It was really tough to not just copy Marion's card wasn't it - it's perfect as it is :)
