Background Stamping with CAS-ual Fridays!

Creating grids and backgrounds is one of my favorite things to stamp so when I saw Karen Baker pin this inspiration photo, I immediately thought of the Beanstalks set!  I went to work creating the background below by stamping in tangerine, stamping off and repeating with grey ink.  You'll notice that the card is a bit longer thinner than the normal 5.5" x 4.25" card.  I did this to even out the repeat of the background image.

I then wanted to give the same technique a try with a Christmas card.  I love them both, but will admit to likely the first one a bit more.  The color combo to me is absolutely stunning!  The card below is using one set: Christmas Carols.

What about you? What is your favorite type of stamp?  Floral?  Background?  I'd love to hear!

PS I'm entering these over at the Retro Sketch Challenge!

I think both cards are fabulous and the stamping perfect. I have trouble even stamping a straight line, but I've been practicing.
