Happy Birthday

It's Friday!  Are you doing the Friday dance?  I am!  Before I get to the weekend though, I have two cards to share with you.  First up, Jackie is hosting a very fun challenge and an amazing giveaway. Jackie creates blog designs and is crazy talented.  She's having a challenge over on her blog to use the Pantone colors in her blog header and to create a card.  Go ahead and play along for a chance to win a new blog header design!

Next up I let the patterned paper do the talking on this birthday card below.  I pulled out my Crate Paper to make this card following the current Retro Sketch.  Not my normal style card but I'm pretty happy with the end result.

Hope your weekend is super relaxing!

so glad you joined in with Jackie's challenge and what a great card. Your second card is different but I love the mix of brick looking paper with the doily-great contrast x

You've shown a lot of diversity here. Both cards work for their challenges.

I love the way you used Jackie's colors to inspire you Lynn!
And your second card... love how you managed to keep it CAS with more than usual detail. I love doilies, but somehow always associate it with shabby chic... thanks for showing me how!

Both fabulous. Love how Jackie's colours inspired you and your RS is really pretty. Stretching yourself sometimes is fun. Happy weekend!

Hi Lynn, both cards are wonderful. The first one has a subtle beauty and the second one is happy and bold. Love how different each card is.

Thanks so much for playing along in my little challenge! Enjoy your weekend!!!
