Believe {and a running update}

Happy Sunday my friends.  We're having a gorgeous weekend here.  The weather is perfect!  Not too hot and not humid at all.  My kind of weekend. I made this card several months ago and I thought I'd pop in and share it for the current Festive Friday Challenge. Seriously love that challenge if you haven't noticed :)!

I also thought I'd give an update on my running.  I stopped giving updates on Fridays, but I have been running.  I've managed to run at least three times every week.  Typically for about 2.3 miles.  Over the last 6 weeks, I've lost four lbs.  Not a ton of weight, but it is movement in the right direction and I certainly feel better for it.  Ryan has been running this week too...a little depressing when your 16 year old just decides to run for five days in a row (when he's never been a runner) and can run for 3.5 to 4 miles all five days and average an 8 1/2 minute mile!  Oh the difference between being 16 and 42!

Your Christmas card is gorgeous! So cute! I love the stiped background and the dotted snowmen. :-)

If it makes you feel better, a couple of years ago I entered a 5km fun run with my (then) 8 year old daughter. She ran the whole way with me and then at the end decided I was too slow and came in five minutes before me, LOL! Congrats on the 4 pounds - slow and steady wins the race, it's sustainable loss. ;-)

Love the stripes and dot on these cute snowmen! At this rate I might get you to do my Christmas cards too. LOL!
Whoop whoop on keeping up with your running and for the 4lbs! And I don't even want to know about Ryan's running! So unfair! :D

Oh, those little snowmen are so adorable, Lynn! Love them against the angled, red stripes!

Very cool that Ryan is now running too but I know exactly how ya feel! Just wait till ya hit 50! :)

Those red stripes make everything POP! As for running, I can't do it at all. I walk (quickly) most mornings about 8 or 9 km (5 miles?) and that's as good as it gets. You just have to do it because it's the right thing to do! But a little weight off is a nice plus! lol!

good for you and your running goals! It's hard to make time for it when you are juggling work, family, house, friends, cardmaking...so big cheers for keeping it up! Darn those 16 year olds! I bet you can run circles around some 20 year olds, though! What an adorable little snow family! It is such a fun challenge and a great way to keep the Christmas stash going :) ox

Gorgeous card, Lynn! And congrats on keeping up on running. I used to run 3-5 miles 3-5 times a week in college. Now I can't even remember the last time I ran a mile. Geesh! Kuddos to you!!!

Cute snow family and love the polka dotted noses :) Well done on the running! I've started doing Billy Blanks' Tae Bo again and it feels great. Keep her going and soon you will be able to keep up toy our 16 year old :)

Ugh, I *hate* running. I have terrible, chronic shin splints that make sure I will never run, so I am always amazed at those who can. And my hubby, who is pushing 40, is like your son. Hasn't run in years, but if he chose to, he'd be able to just go out and do it. So annoying. Good for you!! 4lbs is awesome, and apart from that, you're doing your heart wonders. Plus, think of the gorgeous legs and behind you're cultivating! ;)

I am so glad you love our challenge, because I sure love when you play - you always knock the challenges out of the park. And this one is no exception - LOVE the pieced snowmen! Why don't I ever think of such clever things?

Trying to catch up after vacay, all of your card sets are beautiful. I love the colorful floral flowers across the top on one set and the gorgeous fall leaves on another. great work as always Lynn!!

Lynn I just adore that card, so cute! Congrats on running, so proud of you! I bet you feel good! Both of my kids are runners too, depressing. LOL I have been plugging away at riding but not as faithfully as you. I need to regroup.

Adorable card Lynn. Love those little snowmen. Great job on the running. I've never, ever enjoyed running, but I've been thinking about giving it a go lately. Michal wants to start so we'll see.

You go, Lynn! I loved reading about your running progress. Amazing - you are doing great...just ignore the young one. ;)

These snowmen are just so cute. There's just something about them...and they look so perfect on this card!

Good for you! We've been so busy at work that me and my walking buddy haven't walked since late April {tsk tsk}...BUT we promised ourselves we'd start back up this week.

I think it's awesome that you're running...high fives.

Cute card - love those red candy stripes. Congrats with the running program - I'm still at walking - and even that only about once a week. It's a new day, so we start again.
